You sat in the shade of a tree right outside your house, you were reading a book on robotics.

"Hey y/n."

You look up from your book to see Tadashi walking up to you.

"Hey." You smile. "Whatcha reading?" He asked, sitting next to you. "Oh, just some book Hiro lent me." You reply. "It must be boring then." Tadashi joked. You elbowed him. "It's actually about robotics, so it's not entirely boring." you said, turning the page.

"Not entirely?" He asked. You nodded, continuing reading. "What's that mean?" Tadashi asked, smiling slightly. "It means, it's not entirely boring." You reply, holding back a smile.

"Well, yeah, but does it mean that some of it is boring?"

"Yeah, sorta," You say, putting a bookmark in and closing the book. "Like this part." You set the book next to you on the ground between you and Tadashi. He picked it up and opened to your bookmark. He read a little bit of it before closing it again. He nodded. "Yeah, you're right. That's boring basics. Why is there basics in the middle of the book?" He asked. You shrugged. "Don't know." You look up at the tree leaves above you, watching them sway in the breeze.

Tadashi looked up too. "Whatcha looking at?" He asked. You look at him. "You." You giggle. He looked at you, smiling. "You weren't a second ago."He said. "So? You asked what I'm looking at, and I answered. You." You returned the smile.

Tadashi laughed, and glanced at the ground before looking back at you. "Whatever."
"Hey, Dashi, could you return Hiro's book to him? I'm done with it. I think the rest is just basics." You said, taking your bookmark out, and handing the book to Tadashi. He nodded.

"Hey, y/n?"

"Yeah?"

"This may seem really stupid, but, do you believe in fate?"

You look at him, then out at the sky. "I suppose so. I never really thought about it before," I replied, switching my sitting position. "What about you? Do you believe in it?"
Tadashi looked at me and smiled. "Yeah. I do."
