"It was a dark and stormy night-"

"No, don't start with that, it's too cliche."

You sigh and shake your head as you pace around Hiro's and Tadashi's room.

"Alright," You cross your arms and look at Hiro, who was sitting on his bed. "It was a light and cloudless day." You smirk.

"No." Hiro chuckled.

"Come on, Hiro, you put yourself up for that one." Tadashi said, lowering his book a little.

"Okay, okay, how about 'The world did not end in a bang, or a whisper. But rather, one scream at a time."

Hiro jumped up. "Yes, that's perfect!" He sat at his desk and wrote down what you had just said. While he was doing that, you walked over and sat on the foot of Tadashi's bed.

"Did you come up with that or did you see it somewhere?" Tadashi asked, putting a bookmark in his book and setting it on his nightstand.

"I saw it online," You smile, "But he doesn't have to know."

Tadashi chuckled and sat up next to you.

"I know exactly what to write after that!" Hiro exclaimed, scribbling words onto his paper, mumbling while doing so.

"Hey, y/n, why'd you offer to help Hiro with his project anyways? I didn't know you liked to write." Tadashi said, looking over to you.
"Yeah, sometimes," You reply, "I find it sort of a get away, where I can leave reality, you know?" You looked at him.

"Yeah, that's part of why I read," Tadashi said, gesturing to the books on his dresser.
"Reality can be a terrible place sometimes."

"I agree."

"Maybe we can go to the bookstore together sometime?"

You smile. "Sure! Sounds fun."

"How about now?" Tadashi smiles as he looked at you.
"What about Hiro?" You ask.

"He'll be fine on his own. So, you want to?"

"Sure." You stand up.

"Hey knuckle head, we're leaving so you're on your own. Good luck." Tadashi said as you and him walked down the stairs.

You heard an 'mhm' from Hiro as you follow Tadashi downstairs.

"Hey, Aunt Cass, we're going to the bookstore." Tadashi told Aunt Cass as she was putting in a movie to watch.

"Do you need money?" She asked, standing up to look at you two.
"No, we're fine. Thanks though." Tadashi told her.

"Okay, have fun, you two!" Aunt Cass smiled at you guys before sitting down to watch the movie.

You and Tadashi go down the stairs to the cafe. It was empty and soundless as you walked through.

The bell on the door rang as you opened the door. You stepped outside, Tadashi following. A gush of cold air blew past you, your hair blowing around your face.

"Come on, the bookstore's this way." Tadashi told you, starting to walk down the street.

About halfway there, another cold air blast came through. You shivered, and rubbed your bare arms.

"Ah, it's colder than I thought," He said, looking over at you. "Oh, you didn't bring a jacket. Here, you want mine?" He asked.

"Um, if you really want to freeze to death." You giggle. "Hey, I'd rather me, than you." Tadashi laughed.

"Alright, fine."

Tadashi took off his cardigan and handed it to you. You put it on, wrapping it around yourself. Another blast of wind blew. You look up at the trees, and the leaves blowing around.

You wrap Tadashi's cardigan tighter, and sigh.

You arrive at the bookstore and go inside.

"Hi!" The lady at the counter smiled at you as you walked in. "Hey." Tadashi returned the smile.

"Hey, y/n, let's pick out books we think the other would like, okay?" Tadashi said, looking at you. You beam. "Okay, sounds fun!" You replied. Tadashi smiled and head off in one direction, you in the other.
