Needs You Now

This one shot is gonna be a bit different. It's an AU where Hiro died in the fire instead of Tadashi. I know, I'm sorry.

"He's gone. I can't believe he's actually gone," Tadashi muttered, walking up to the Lucky Cat Cafe door and opening it. "It all feels like a dream."
"Yeah. This whole thing just feels like a daze." You tell him, walking inside behind him.
"Hiro was a good kid," Gogo said to you two. She sat at a table, stirring her hot chocolate.
"He wouldn't want us mourning him for too long." Honey Lemon watched Gogo's drink swirl.
"Yeah, I think he'd just tell us it isn't a big deal." Wasabi added.

"Yeah, you guys are right," Tadashi sighed, getting himself a cup if hot chocolate, "But he was too young to die. He was 14. 14!"

Everyone stayed silent.

Tadashi took his drink and went up to his, and now only his, bedroom.

Honey Lemon looked up after him.
"Y/n, you should go talk to him."

"Yeah, he needs you now, more than ever." Gogo pointed her spoon at you.
"Go on, Y/n." Wasabi smiled at you.

"Alright." You say before going up the stairs. As you reach the door to Tadashi's room, you hear a slight crying.

"Hey," You say quietly, walking up to him.
He doesn't look up from what he's holding. As you sit next to him, you notice he's holding Hiro's microbotic robot.

You sat in silence for a moment or two.

"Thank you for not giving up on me through all this."

"You didn't think I would just give up on you, did you?" You whisper, picking up your head to look at your boyfriend, Tadashi, who was holding his head in his hands.
"No. I knew you wouldn't." He replied with a sigh, standing up and setting Hiro's robot on the desk.
"I know Hiro was a big part of you, but even though he's gone, he's not really," You walk over to Tadashi, putting your arm around his shoulders, "Even though Hiro isn't with us physically, he's with us right here." You put your hand over Tadashi's heart.
He takes your hand, holding it tight. "I know," He said, then smiling a bit, he looked at the floor, "But I'm gonna miss that knucklehead."

"We all are, Tadashi," You lay your head on his shoulder.

"We all are."
