Chapter 1:
I've been living in this building for a couple months now. I moved away from my family to start fresh in California. They like living traditionally and by routine, but I had a different idea of life. It's nice here, every floor in my complex only has two apartments. Not because it's small, but because that's just how decently sized these apartments are. I haven't really met anyone here. I mean other than the receptionist, Ava, who runs the main office with her aunt. Not complaining though, I like talking to her. She's a little older than me and she always knows what's going on in the building. The moment she hears something you best believe my phone is gonna ring. So when my phone was ringing non-stop, I knew she had good "tea" to spill. In the end I just texted her saying that I'd be down soon. Ava texted me back and told me to hurry up because this was the biggest "tea" she was ever gonna spill. This got me real hype. I ended up going down stairs in my adidas joggers, white converse, and a white tank top.
As soon as Ava saw the doors to the elevator open she basically yelled. "Mili you aren't going to believe this, this is the best thing to ever happen! For me, for you, basically for everyone who lives here! But it's a secret so I'm not even supposed to be telling you."  Ava said. "Oh my a secret." I said sarcastically. " No Mili you don't understand this is big. Like as big as the Empire State Building!" She said. I gave Ava the look of uncertainty. "Someone interesting and our age is moving here Mili! This is a big deal, like honestly we weren't supposed to tell anyone, because fans will probably show up or something." She continued. "Wait what fans?" I interrupted but she didn't hear me. "You can not tell anyone the information I am about to tell you, Mili You have to swear. I mean unless you don't want to know because I know how you are." She looked at me hoping I would say yes, that I wanted her to spill. I did want her to spill, but if it had to do with something from the building, then I'd find out eventually. "No, Ava I don't want you to tell me because it's private." I said. She was very disappointed with me. "Fine suit yourself, but just remember since the jackson's moved out from your floor, you are the only floor with an apartment available." Ava ended up getting a phone call and I waved goodbye.
Whoever this new and important person is, I hope they don't mess up my thing I have going on. I was having a good time with my floor being empty and quiet. No kids running in my hallway, no noise, no people in general. I was gonna miss this. On the bright side Ava said they were our age, so maybe I could make another friend. But with Ava someone our age is from 19 to 23. I went back to my apartment and continued with my own things. I had a long day ahead of me. Ava texted me again saying the contract was signed and that the new tenant would be moving in, just giving me a heads up or whatever. All I can do is hope that it's not another annoying neighbor.
