Tea

I had debated telling Ava about Alex. I thought a lot about what Alex had said in the elevator. "You didn't tell her everything." After a good nights sleep I realized I didn't tell her everything when he was listening. The one thing I didn't tell her was the stranger's name. Probably the thing that should have stuck in my head, was the one thing that didn't. At least until I saw him again and the name clicked. The tea must be spilled.
After we were done eating Ava and I sat there. She waited anxiously for me to tell her. "So what's the tea?" Ava finally said something. "Okay, so obviously you noticed there was some tension with Alex." She nodded in agreement. " Well I had met Alex before." I said fast. "Yeah I know Mili in the elevator." She winked. "No even before that." I put my face in my hands. "I thought you didn't know him Mili?" Ava asked. "Well I only know him because of yesterday." I smarted back. Ava looked very confused. "He was the Prince Charming you were talking about Ava. The guy I met at the music store." I tried to explain to Ava. Her face lit up. "I knew he'd be Prince Charming! I was kind of hoping he'd be mine, but it's cool this way too." She said jokingly.
So now that that tea is out, the next tea. "Okay well there's more so don't get too excited. He wants me to go to his place after this." I said kind of shyly. " Mili this is great what are you wearing." "No Ava he wants me to go sing." I said completely ignoring what she said. "Oh." Ava said a little more concerned now. "What do you mean "oh"." I said a little hurt. " Well I don't know I was hoping he wanted to get to know you better, but I guess not." Ava said a little less excited and interested. "Ava you can not be shipping this already." Ava has a tendency to ship me with complete strangers and people that I will never end up with. Alex, for example, was one of them. " Well Mili to be completely honest, I would ship him with anyone!" she laughs as she gets up from the table to take her plate back to the kitchen. " But you can't tell me you wouldn't want to get to know him better. I mean he's Alex Aiono. You are a very lucky girl Mili, you might not want to be close friends with him, but any girl would kill to be you right now. Just give him a chance. Talk to him like it's me." " Well we talked a bit last night and he seems really nice. He actually acts kind of like Victor when we first met." What I just said makes Ava gasp. " No Mili please do not say that. Victor is a part of your old Texas life." Ava was right but I can't help to compare the two.
