Chapter 6:
When I woke up at, at 12:00 noon, my phone was blown up with messages. Most of them from Ava, and like 1 from Alex. I know it was was late but did I forget something? I got up and walked to the living room and sat on the couch.
Ava, being Ava, wanted to know what happened after she left. I told her to come up for breakfast so that I could tell her what happened. We agreed that she'd be up for lunch at 1:00, because it was already too late for breakfast. So with the 50 minutes remaining before she got there, I was going to make myself decent. By decent I just mean change out of pj's into something else and put my hair in a ponytail.
I realized that I hadn't replied to Alex. I looked for his message in phone. I finally found it, and I cracked up at what he put his name under. He put his name in my phone as Alex with the heart eyes emoji. I thought it was cute, but I also thought it was funny because he was so daring.
Alex: "You're coming today I'll be waiting for you."
Mili: "I know that it's too late to get out of it now."
Alex: "Good. I'll see you later"
It was a short conversation, but I just met him. I went to go get ready for lunch with Ava. According to plans that were set up for me, I'm not leaving the building today. Because of this I decided I would wear something casual. It's not like I'm trying to impress anyone. Red flannel, black crop top, ripped jeans, and black high top converse. Now to make my breakfast, Ava's lunch.
By the time I finish making breakfast it's 12:50. I had ten minutes to spare. So I went and finished getting ready. Really I just had to put my hair in a messy braid. I cleaned up the apartment a little. I really only did this so that Ava would think that after she left Alex did faster than he actually did. While I was cleaning I realized that Alex left his guitar in my living room. I didn't know what to do with it so I just put it in closet in the entry way. It's 1:00 and Ava, like always, is on time.
Although her and I are practically best friends, she still always knocks before she comes in. "Ava come in!" I said as soon as I heard her knock. "Good morning lazy." Ava says as she walks past the closet where I hid the guitar. I know that it seems sketchy that I'm hiding the guitar. But if Ava found out that Alex and I actually talked and hung out after she left, I honestly don't know what I would do. The tea must be spilled, but I don't know if I want to tell her everything.I kept my act together though, and made sure I didn't seem guilty of anything.
" I made lunch already so that we could eat sooner." I told Ava. "Nice, I'm starving." Ava said as she walked into the kitchen to get a plate. " So what happened after I left? Sorry I left but I could tell there was some tension. I wanted you to solve that. Not saying you did, because I know how you are, but still." She continued as she served her plate. "Oh, you could tell? I answered back apologetically. "Yeah but it's not a big deal Mili. What was that all about? I mean you just met him. And from what I could tell, you have no idea who he is." She said a little concerned. "Shall we spill the tea at the dining table." I said in a British accent. "We shall." Ava said back in her best British accent.
