Luckily, Jigen had been right, as you awoke about 5 hours later.

Looking up to see wether your lover was awake or not, you were greeted with a warm smile and a surprise kiss on the nose.
"That would be a yes then" you thought to yourself.

As you moved yourself off of Jigen 's chest so that he could get up, you caught a glimpse of his wounded leg and it still looked pretty bad. "How does it feel?" You asked, signalling towards his leg with your head, hoping that it looked worse than it felt.
"It's fine."
You could tell he was trying to play the tough guy as when he tried to stand on it, he had to sit back down again moments later.
"Take it easy big fella'" you said "we've got nothing planned for today, stay in bed and I'll look after you."
He looked away, sighed, then did as he was told. "Good man" you murmured into his ear before giving him a kiss on the cheek and getting up yourself.

The first thing you knew you needed to do was re - dress that leg as the bandages were drenched in blood. Feeling around under the bed for a small case filled with the things,  you grabbed the first roll that came to hand and got to work and about five minutes later, fresh white fabric covered the bullet wound.

Leaving Jigen to rest, you made your way to the make shift kitchen. Lupin was already walking about eating pizza from two nights ago out of the fridge. "Is there anything in here that won't kill Jigen if he eats it?" You asked sarcastically.
"Probably not" replied Lupin not so sarcastically. "There's that leftover chicken but that's about it. It doesn't smell too bad. I don't particularly want to go out and get anything at the moment. Zenigata's probably still desperately trying to find us. Wouldn't want to give him any satisfaction now, would we?"

Taking your chances, you unwrapped the chicken from the tin foil and cautiously smelt it for yourself.  To your surprise, it was as Lupin has said. Not all that bad. After warming it up in the microwave, you put it on a plate and took it back into where Jigen lay, now semi asleep.

"As much as I know that chicken isn't exactly breakfast, it's the only decent thing we've got." You explained as you handed a confused Jigen the plate.
"Have you had anything? You weren't gone that long" he questioned. You shook your head. "(Name)!" He scolded as he held out some for you to eat. Not wanting to get grease all over your hands and sequentially, all over the bed, you decided to just eat it straight from his hand.

Jigen laughed a little as you licked his fingers clean when you had finished eating your share.

"If we've got nothing important to do today, do you think you could stay here with me in bed?" Asked Jigen.
