'Another late night at the office,' Chantelle thought as she poured out the different shades of brown that she would need to paint the portraits that her customer requested.
She pulled her curls into a messy pineapple ponytail at the top of her head and put her bandana around the perimeter of her head to avoid the paint getting in her hair.
These paintings were going to be challenging for her. Not because she wasn't physically able to do them, but because she would have to paint someone that she has liked for years.
Odell Beckham Jr.
For as long as she could remember, she had been a diehard Giants fan. Her father made sure of it from when she was a little girl. During football season, Chan and her father Curtis would be in front of that TV or in the Metlife Stadium to cheer on the Giants. Her mother still had her 2T Tiki Barber Giants jersey sitting in the trunk in their attic. Once Odell came to the Giants, it became a dream come true for her.
It was that real.
Chan looked at the outline of the picture she drew earlier and started applying the main shade of brown that she needed. While she had a miniature fan on that portion of the painting, she painted his jersey royal blue. Slowly but surely, everything was coming along.
