My phone lit up

"Hey lover-boy,"

"Hey! I miss you," a familiar voice rang from the other end.

"How goes the filming?"

"It's great! We have a fantastic story-line this season, and the location is amazing! You should see - "

I stifled a chuckle.

"- what?"

"I don't know, you're just really cute when you get all excited," I smiled.

He laughed at that.

"Are you seeing the same moon I'm seeing?" His voice was calm and comforting.

I looked out the window at the huge glass sphere hung in the sky. It stood solemnly in place, amid a wash of deep blue and golden stars.

"I can tell you're smiling," I heard his voice call to me through the phone, "it's crazy to think that we're so far apart, yet under the same moon. Can you see the stars?"

Faint, glowing warmth was scattered across the night sky.

"Like a Van Gogh painting. Ooh, that one's a satellite,"

His laugh made me feel pleasant inside, like drinking a cup of hot chocolate.

"I can never get serious with you, can I?"

"Not a chance,"

He laughed again.

"I love you,"

"I love you too,"

A/N: Story-ette? Oh well, hope you enjoyed. Anyone who got the title gets a big shiny sticker and a piece of cake for being one of Shane's 'lil disco balls (maybe you know that reference too?).
