Hey guys I wanted to start by saying thank you. For all the support I get, the over 7k reads, the votes, comments, the follows and when people are eager for me to update. I'm so thankful and I can't believe I'm already at chapter 30! I know it's not that much but for me (who has a lot of hobbies, not much time and never really was into writing) it's a huge accomplishment.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••Callie's POV
"Enjoy your time in New Jersey!" the stewardess waved after us while Charlie and I got out of the plane.
"Thank you!" I answered and tried to distract from my blushing because every time I looked at her face, I was scared that she might have heard us doing... things.
My head turned back to Charlie who smirked from one ear to another.
"What?" I asked annoyed.
"Hm? Nothing," he blabbered.
"Sure."
"It's just cute how you blush every time you're embarrassed... I love it," he said and placed kisses on my burning cheeks. They started to burn even more and I decided to just say nothing about this.We were on the way to Charlie's old home where I will finally meet his parents. I was so nervous about it and I couldn't help but my hands kept sweating. We were sitting in the car and Charlie gave me a concerned side look since I have been wiping my hands on my thighs every 30 seconds.
"Are you ok?" he asked me while I was staring holes into the air. I lightly shook my head at his words but it wasn't even visible which explains why he spoke to me again.
"Callie?"
I felt his large, warm hand taking my small hand from my lap and intertwining our fingers. My eyes got out of their rigidity and looked down to our hands where his thumb made calming strokes across my knuckles. I don't why but his little touch was enough to send tingling warm sensations through my body.
I looked up to meet his face and I got caught by his beautiful green eyes. The different shades of green in his iris always tend to hypnotize me like right now, but the warmth of his look helped me finding my voice again."I- I'm... just nervous," I said after losing myself in his eyes for a while.
"You'll be ok," he said and smiled encouragingly.
"There's really no reason why they wouldn't like you. Just relax."
He let his actions follow his words and placed a light kiss on my knuckles. It really did relax me and I blushed at the thought of that.Giving him a weak smile, I said, "Yeah, I know."
After driving for a little, we arrived at a pretty wealthy neighborhood with nice houses, accurately cut grass in the front yards and all in all just perfect looking estates. The driver of our car started slowing down in front of a pretty big house.
"We're here," Charlie said.
"It's so pretty here," I was amazed by the architecture and suddenly I felt wrong in this place compared to where I live.
Oh well. The car stopped and we got out of it.
Charlie took out our bags and suitcases and the driver helped him to carry them to the front door. I tried to help him too, but of course he needed to act like a full on gentleman.
I rolled my eyes at the thought of him exaggerating it sometimes, but couldn't help that a smile appeared on my lips. He's just too adorable.I was awkwardly standing in front of the door when it suddenly opened by a woman with dark brown hair to her shoulders and in her mid fifties.
"Hellooo, dear! You must be Callie, right? It's so nice to meet you!" she hugged me lovely.
"Um, hello.." I said nervously during her embrace.
"Charlie already told me a lot about you!"
"Hey mom," he greeted her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Hello Charlie Otto. So come on, come in!" she waved us in and I followed Charlie into the house. It was so pretty inside. Although it was very big it still looked very homely. Daylight was floating the rooms from the late evening sunset as we passed by a couple of rooms. Debra led me to the living room while Charlie brought our bags upstairs.
Chuck, Charlie's dad was sitting on the couch watching tv and Brady, their little dog was lying next to him."Charles, they're here," Debra said.
He looked up to us and stood up towards me.
"Hello, nice to meet you. I'm Charlie's dad," he shook my hand.
"Nice to meet you too, Mr Puth," I said, keeping it formal.
"You can call me Chuck," he said and smiled. I smiled back.
"Oh I totally forgot to introduce me, I'm Charlie's mom Debra," she yelled from behind walking towards the kitchen.
"As if she didn't knew that you were his mom, darling," Chuck yells back laughing.I better not mention that I knew their names already before.
How weird would it be to say "oh hey I already knew your names, haha cause I'm a stalker fan and that's one of the basic things to know about your idol."
Yep definitely not going to do that.In that moment Charlie walked into the living room.
"Hello my son," Chuck greeted him and Charlie hugged him.
"A pretty girlfriend you have here."
My cheeks turned red.
"Thanks dad," Charlie smiled.
"Let's all take a seat and talk," Debra said excitedly, as she got back to the living room. We all turned our heads."I have soo many questions to ask!" she smirked and clapped her hands.
Oh no.
