Restraint

You tried to pretend like you didn't know that Lee was watching you as you worked. The other girls around you hadn't noticed him yet, but you always knew, if it was him.

Scrubbing the stains out of the clothes, you acted like the task at hand was distracting enough that you didn't notice him.

Petal, close as always, was using the same tub of water as you, occasionally asking a question in a voice so quiet it would make Hinata sound like she was yelling. "S-So, you don't settle down often?"

"Nope. We'll probably leave here soon, actually."

"Oh... W-Well, I hope you can stay. Things are n-nicer when you're a-around..."

You didn't answer, instead glancing over once more to where Lee was standing near a tree. There were too many people around for you to openly acknowledge his presence unless he was giving an order.

Gritting your teeth, you focused on your task hard enough to block out his presence. So it was no wonder that when he grabbed your arm and started to lead you away you almost yelped with fear.

You looked behind you at Petal's terrified face, and at the few other women that looked up. One chick, Dune, I think they called her, seemed downright pleased at the thought of someone getting punished.

Lee led you by the hand, across the soft grass and around trees, far from your work space and the main house and just the village in general. When he finally stopped, you tried to ask him what was up, but he kissed you before you could speak.

Pinning you against a tree, pulling your legs up to wrap around his waist, he kissed you like he hadn't seen you in years. You kissed him back, just as rough, grabbing a handful of his hair and pulling at his clothes.

He shrugged off the top part of his kimono and pulled off his shirt, pressing against you again. You ran your hands over his bare skin, shivering lightly. He was so familiar, from his feel, to his taste, to his sound, to the beating of his heart.

"Lee..." You almost moaned his name. Panting he stopped touching you long enough to look into your eyes.

"We cannot do this now, can we?"

How much you wanted to say yes. But reality doesn't always give us what we want. "No. We can't."

He kissed you again, running his hands up your sides. "I want to. So bad."

"I know, baby. I know."

He finally let you down and pulled his clothes back on, much to your great disappointment.

You gently ran a hand up his back. "You need a little restraint, sweetie."

"No, what I need is my woman."

You kissed him again, not as needy as before. "I love you."

"I love you, too." Lee held you close for a minute, and you could feel the little tremors that still rippled through him.

"Don't worry, Lee." You rested your head on his shoulder. "We won't be here forever."

"A-Are you o-okay?" Petal's hands were shaking as she wound them into your sleeve.

"Of course, Petal. I'm fine." You ruffled her hair and she looked up at you with something akin to hero worship.

"O-Oh! G-Good! I was w-worried."

"Well, you don't have to be."

It was awkward to walk around with her so close, as your legs kept bumping together and getting tangled up. But eventually you made it to what was basically the slave house. Home sweet home.

Pushing open the door, you walked back into the building and laid down on the thin, dirty mattress that was all you had. Petal pressed close to your side and you threw your arm over her, yawning. "Night, Petal."

"G-Goodnight, (Y/N)."

You tried to sleep, really you did, but your mind kept replaying that moment away from all this when Lee had pressed his body to yours and kissed you like you were all he had ever wanted.
