chapter 4~comfort

Martinus pov//

I woke up to the sound of someone throwing up. That is not how I want to wake up. I looked out the windows and it was still dark out. I rolled over and looked at my phone. It was 2am.

It must be Em downstairs. She fell asleep on the couch and I called her mom and told her she was sleeping over. I covered her with blankets so she wouldn't be cold. I guess she woke up sick. She has been really sick, that makes me sad.

I walked downstairs and when I got there she looked confused.

Emilie-"Did I fall asleep here?"

Martinus-"Yes but don't worry I called your mom and told her."

Emilie-"Oh okay. Sorry I threw up and woke you."

Martinus-"It's fine, are you okay Em? You have been pretty sick and out of it lately."

She sat back down on the couch. I got her a glass of water and a cold rag. I sat down next to her.

Emilie-"I don't know what's wrong with me."

Martinus-"I'm sure you will get over this bug soon."

Emilie-"Thanks Martinus for making sure I'm okay."

I smiled at her and gave her a hug. She needed it.

Martinus-"I'm gonna stay down here until you fall asleep."

She blushed a little.

Emilie-"No really I'm okay."

Martinus-"Not leaving!"

She smiled and laughed a little bit.

Emilie-"Fine but I would feel bad if you got sick."

Martinus-"Don't worry about me."

We got under the blankets and she slept on the other side of the couch. Why was she so far from me? I know it's not because she is sick because we have had the chicken pox together and we're right next to each other! We have had many sleepovers before so it's not like she is uncomfortable.

Martinus-"You know Em you can come closer to me."

Emilie-"You sure?"

Martinus-"Em I have known you since you were a baby, it's fine."

She then moved closer to me on the couch, I pulled her closer to me and she was lying on me now. I think she felt a little weird about it. I just wanted her to be comfortable.

I watched her to make sure she was okay and I put the rag on her head so she won't get to warm and get a fever. I mean she is my best friend and I would take care of her no matter and I know she would do the same for me.

She fell asleep pretty fast and not gonna lie she looked kind of cute. I lied down but I tried not to move because I didn't want to wake up Em, I could tell she was having a rough night already. Even at the game she seemed super off.

I felt myself getting tired again and fell asleep pretty fast.

Emilie pov//

I woke up and I felt very comfortable. I was lying on something soft. I looked up and saw it was Martinus. Holy shit that scared me. I jumped up and I woke him up.

Martinus-"What happened!"

Emilie-"Nothing you just scared me. I didn't realize I fell asleep on you."

I blushed and turned away to hide it.

Martinus-"Oh you don't remember?"

Emilie-"No."
