chapter 36~i see you now

Martinus pov//

The sound of an alarm woke me up this morning, leaving me really not wanting to go back to school.

After yesterday's eventful day I wanted to make sure Emilie was okay. I'm worried about her after her breakdown yesterday, but I will always be by her side.

I looked over to see Emilie still sleeping. She was faintly snoring and her hair was in front of her open mouth.

Even still asleep she looked so perfect and like an angel. I didn't want to disturb her, so I woke her up with a kiss.

A smile spread across her face before her eyes opened. She was looking up at me with her big brown eyes that could put any guy in a trance. I'm lucky that guy is me.

Emilie-"Nooo Martinus I don't wanna go."

Martinus-"I know but we have to."

Emilie-"Ugh."

We both finally got out of bed and started to get ready.

Marcus-"Come on guys are you ready yet?"

Emilie-"We are coming!"

We both laughed and were finally done getting ready. I took her hand and we walked down the stairs smiling and laughing.

Cece-"Looks like you to woke up happy!"

Cece smiled at us and Emilie ran to go give her a hug.

Emma-"Can you guys walk me to school!"

Martinus-"Sure Emma lets go!"

She took my hand and Marcus hand and we all walked out of the house together.

Emma was practically skipping, she has so much energy in the morning it's cute.

Emma-"I miss Marie."

She pouted.

Emilie-"Aw me too but soon school will be over and over the summer you will see her! She has missed you too."

That cheered her up I could tell. I smiled back at Emilie and she smiled right back at me.

We took a turn to go to Emma's school and we dropped her off.

Emma-"Bye guys!"

She waved us off and went running into the playground with all her friends.

Cece-"She is truly the cutest."

Marcus-"Not as cute as you."

Marcus gave her a kiss on the cheek and Cece giggled.

Emilie-"Aw you too."

Martinus-"What she said."

Cece-"Not as cute as you too."

I turned a little red. I squeezed Emilie's hand and became super happy, not that I ever was sad when I was around her. How could I be?

Emilie-"Kind of crazy we all ended up like this. Don't you think? I mean I never thought I would be with Martinus and Cece did you think you would be with Marcus?"

I thought about it. I mean I always wanted Emilie but I guess I just never saw her in that way until a couple months ago. Something hit me, and I'm sure glad it did.

Marcus-"I never thought it would happen but I'm glad it did. It brought us all closer don't you think?"

Cece-"Definitely."

Martinus-"I'm really happy I ended up with an amazing girl, even if it took me a little while to see it. It's clear that you are the one for me Emilie."

I looked at her and she was turning red, but it didn't bother me. I stopped dead in the sidewalk and a grin appeared across my face.

Emilie turned around and started to laugh.

Emilie-"What are you doing?"

Martinus-"This."

I looked her in the eyes and pulled her in close to me. Her lips met mine and she relaxed into the perfect kiss.

To me it didn't matter who was watching because I love her and everyone in the world should know it. I wish I knew it sooner.

We pulled away and she smiled shyly at me. Marcus and Cece were a little surprised.

Emilie-"What was that for."

She bit her lip a little and pushed some hair out of her eyes, the sun was beaming on her face. The first time the sun has appeared in days.

Martinus-"Because I love you and I don't care who knows it and I see it now."

Emilie-"See what?"

Martinus-"I see you."

Emilie-"Well of course you do I'm right in front of you!"

I laughed at that.

Martinus-"I mean I see you, for everything that you are. I love you Emilie James and I never want to lose you, I made that mistake before and everything that has led up to this moment. Jennie, Wes all the things that got in our way will not stop now. I promise to never let you go."

She smiled and she gave me a hug. Then that hug transformed into a kiss.

I could hear the awes around me, and everything seemed to be perfect in the moment.

We both pulled away again and our noses were practically touching. Suddenly I felt a drop of rain come down on our faces.

We both immediately looked up and laughed. Just then it started to downpour. We smiled.

Emilie-"You know I always wanted to kiss someone in the rain."

I grinned again.

Martinus-"Well than what are we waiting for?"

As the rain came pouring down on us we kissed. It was the best kiss in the world. Everything seemed right. Even if we were soaking wet it didn't matter anymore. The only thing that mattered was her.

We both giggled and grabbed hands. We ran inside along with Marcus and Cece and laughed it off. I hope to laugh with her the rest of my life.
