chapter 6~the date

Martinus pov//

I walked out of my house and started to go to Emilies house. I texted her and apologized but I need to say more and to her face. I didn't mean to make her so upset, I hate to see her upset.

I got over to her house and knocked on the door. Her little sister Marie opened the door.

Marie-"Hi Martinus!"

Wow she looks just like Em.

Martinus-"Hi Marie! Is Em home."

Marie-"Oh she's in her room and won't leave. She is all sad and I don't know why."

Martinus-"I think I do. I'll go talk to her."

She nodded and let me in. I walked upstairs to Em's room and I didn't even knock. I didn't have to. I opened the door slowly and saw she was on her laptop watching some movie.

Emilie-"Martinus what are you doing here?"

I went over and sat down next to her. She closed her laptop and looked into my eyes. She looked like she had been crying.

Martinus-"Have you been crying?"

Emilie-"No."

Martinus-"I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to push you when we were doing confessions."

Emilie-"Its fine."

Martinus-"No it's not. Clearly I made you upset but why?"

She seemed nervous to tell me.

Martinus-"Em you can tell me anything."

Emilie-"Its stupid Martinus."

I took her hand and looked at her.

Martinus-"Please?"

She looked me in the eyes.

Emilie-"I feel alone. And yes I have you guys but you have Jennie and Marcus and Cece have their own thing going on. I feel left out in it all."

She seemed sad when saying that. I never thought how that made her feel.

Martinus-"I'm sorry Em I didn't know, but there is someone out there for everyone."

Emilie-"Not for me..."

Martinus-"Em you are an amazing girl and any guy would be lucky to have you. I mean it."

She smiled at me. That was something I was happy to see.

Emilie-"Thanks.

Martinus-"So are we okay?"

Emilie-"We are okay."

Martinus-"Good because I missed you."

Emilie-"I was hardly gone!"

We laughed at that and I gave her a hug. Her hugs felt warm to me.

Martinus-"So what do you wanna do? What were you watching?"

Emilie-"Oh I was rewatching how to get away with murder. Wanna watch?"
