"have i told you how much i love purple?"
"you don't have to tell me, i can figure that out. everyone can!"
"is it that obvious?"

a soft chuckle escaped from the back of my throat. gesturing to her items that she was carrying - a purple bag, a purple water bottle, a purple wallet, a purple keychain; pretty much everything was purple. she glanced down at herself sheepishly, as if it was the first time she realised she was carrying so many purple stuffs.

we were at my house lazing around in the backyard. with piles of schoolwork flooding our room and knowing that there's more to come, we decided that it would definitely be a good idea to chill for a day and forget about the fast paced city life we lived in. the backyard provided a perfect view of the sunset, something wheein and i loved watching since we were young.

cladded in an oversized cotton shirt and loose shorts, wheein lay on the grass patch with her arms and legs sprawled out. her long, brown wavy curls cascaded down to her waist naturally. her usual bright and glossy eyes squirmed even smaller under the dim sunlight. her hand reached out to shield herself from the light source; her annoyed expression turning into a satisfied grin after the desired effect.

patting down on the empty spot beside her, wheein turned around to wait for me to join her. i didn't want to lie down so soon, but with her wistful, puppy eyes staring up pleadingly into my eyes, i couldn't reject her. gently, i slipped beside her, pulling the blanket over us. an immediate smile took over wheein's lips; her skin was silky beneath the blanket that covered half of her petite body, her eyes now wide and smiling, her cheeks giving off a rosy glow. her adorable dimple adorned at the side of her cheek, a sign to indicate that wheein was happy.

"what do you plan to do after graduation?"
she shrugged, "i don't know, maybe search for a part time job and wait for universities to accept me in? but i kind of dream to be a singer. maybe it's not for me, but i'll always take singing as a hobby of mine."
i smiled at her mention of singing, "wheein, you do know that you have a good voice right? it's soft and soothing."
"nope that's what you think!" she laughed.

before i knew what i was doing, my arms snaked between wheein's small waist and wrapped her tightly. wheein gave me a glance a tad too long, before shifting her gaze towards the sky again, continuing to talk about her passion for singing. i took this chance to properly take a good look at her.

her face was as smooth as porcelain, the wind howling gently messed her lustrous hair framing her cute face. her charming orbs lit up and danced about in utmost joy sparkling with pure delight every time she gushed about the songs she loved. those same eyes i recognised as unique and captivating has always been my favourite; and i found myself getting lost into those luscious, enchanting eyes as time flew.

when a strand of her hair lingered in the air, refusing to stop flying, i brushed those few strayed strands back to the corner of her ears. wheein's cheeks were tinted a hint of light pink now, with her constant fidgeting of fingers. with a nod, i beckoned her to continue with her speech.

out of a sudden, i only had the strong urge to watch this precious little angel; how her eyes shone when she talked about her favourite activities, how her nose scrunched up whenever something small irritated her, how her cherry lips moved with such grace, forming a thin line i fell in love with over the past days, how her head hung back as she released her shrill, contagious giggles, how she could be so... flawless.

i have never seen wheein so stunningly gorgeous before...
