~CHARLIE

Nathalia literally just walked off when I said I'm attracted to her. She doesn't usually does that, she's fearless and she would normally just laugh it out. I washed my face, brush my teeth and went to bed. I checked my phone for the last time just in case, Nathalia would message me and explain. Then there was nothing so I turned off the lights but the lampshade was on and there I write on my laptop our essay assignment. Then I got distracted, I can't get off Nathalia out of my mind.

Ring ring!

A random number is just calling me. I hesitate to answer it but then I did. I never ignore a random number maybe I'll just regret it later on.

"Hello, Charlie?" A familiar feminine voice said. I recognized it. It's Annie's

"Annie?" I replied sitting up straight on my bed.

"Sorry for calling out on you this late but... can I ask you a favor?" She said worried.

"Yeah, sure." I said. I think this is the least I can do for teaming up with Bridget and ruining her party. I swear I'll never listen to Bridget again. I actually messaged Bridget saying "Get a new partner, Bridget."

"I'm sorry Charlie but your the first one in Nathalia's recent call, perhaps you can help me with her." She said and I can hear someone groaning at the background.

"What happened?" I asked worried sick. I grabbed my pants and shirt this time.

"She passed out because she's really drunk right now. But she's fine now and I'm just asking if maybe you can pick her up this instant. We're going to Italy later and I won't want to miss my flight." She said pausing in every sentence probably checking on Nathalia.

"Alright, I'll be right there." I said

"Hurry, and I trust you on this Charlie don't do anything to her promise me or I'll kill you." She said warning me and then the call ended.

I take on my shirt and pants and grabbed my bag. I walked pass through dad who's drinking coffee in the living room probably wondering why I'm running so fast. "Boyfriend duties, dad!" I lied although it's quite true. "Drive safe, son!" Dad replied and threw me the keys. I drove all the way to Annie's house. I arrived with Annie and her mom going out of the door. This time the place was peaceful- free from music and people

"You're late Charlie! I thought you'd never pick up Nathalia." Annie said and she opened the door again and I saw Nathalia lying on the couch still asleep.  She and her mom rode the limo I didn't even had a chance to say hi to her mom.

And then Nathalia was just a few feet away from me just the two of us. I looked at her and she's like an angel peacefully sleeping as I walk towards her I can smell the alcohol surrounding her. Her blonde hair covering her face.

"Hey, Nattie..." I whispered shaking her shoulders slowly.

"Annie, how did you know that?" Nathalia said and then she caress my face still closing her eyes. Her hair is falling down covering her face. I slid her hair behind her ear.

"This is me, Charlie. I'm going to get you home or at least in my house." I said trying to figure out a way to let her stand and walk her outside and let her in my Volvo.

"Not so fast, Charlie." She said. She's really drunk.

"Your mom would be mad at me if she sees you like this." I said and finally I carried her. She was not that heavy. I carried her at my back with her high heels on her hand and her legs wrapped around my hips. Her hands was almost choking my neck. I rode the elevator and everyone was looking at us, or more specifically at her. I even spot a 13-year-old girl took a picture at us. Then, I drove her into my house. I carried her into the house with my dad saying "Woah, what is she doing here? Is she drunk?" Dad asked helping me with her.

"Oh hi Dad! Get it? cause you were nearly my dad?" Nathalia joked messing with dad's hair.

"How did she-" Dad tried to say. Dad's probably wondering how did Nathalia knows how I know but this is not important. Nathalia's mom and my dad's relationship is past.

"I'm sorry dad, but I need to get her home with us. Her mom would definitely kill me if she saw her daughter being like this." I explained to my father.

"Alright," Dad sighed. "Bring her to your room but you'll stay in my room." Dad said

"Of course, thanks dad." I said

"I'll make a call to her mom saying that she's with us and she doesn't have to worry." Dad said dialing his phone.

"Would she not suspect that Nathalia is on some kind of trouble?" I asked

"Not a thing, now let Nathalia on your room." Dad said.

I carried Nathalia again. Her soft and blonde hair touches my hand. I went into my room and drop Nathalia on my bed wondering what would it be like if someday, just someday I'll get married to her and wake up next to her-

"I just realized how cute you are." Nathalia said squinting her eyes on me that made me jump out of my thoughts.

"That's great... I think?" I replied and sat on the bed near her foot.

She didn't replied all I see is a snoring Nathalia with her hand tacked under my pillow. The pillow I used to cry on. The same pillow where I think of her everyday. Everyday since the day that we first met. I just can't believe that her face is now there sleeping yet drunk. I turned off the lights and went out of my room leaving Nathalia alone. I slept beside my dad, I can remember the last time I slept beside my dad it was Christmas Eve when I was in 4th Grade.

~NATHALIA

I woke up the in a different room. I tried to squint my eyes but the whole world is turning, swirling like it's being distorted. Then, I remembered I drank too much alcohol last night. Then I remembered Charlie's face, this is his room. I glanced from left to right the light is too bright and then I squinted again. I took a nap again and when I wake up I feel a bit better. I spot on Charlie's laptop thinking there maybe something about him there. I popped it open and see an essay that he's been working on. The same thing that Ms. Grundy had assigned the whole class to write about friendship. I started to read his and I read a sentence that caught my attention:

"Maybe we have outgrown our friendship. We grow up and forget about the things that meant so much to us...

As I read it I edited some parts, change some grammatical errors, fixed the sentence and stuff. When all of a sudden the door opened. "Holy shi-" I said but then it was Charlie.

"Sorry." Charlie said holding up a shake. It's colored green and I know green things taste like crap.

"You scared the freak out of me." I said closing up his laptop.

"What are you doing with my laptop?" He asked.

"What is that thing you're holding?" I asked changing the topic.

"It's for you, dad says it cures hangover." He said mixing it making me feel nauseous.

"No thanks, it looks disgusting." I said

"Hey, you haven't answer my question." He said

"Well... I edited some of the parts of your essay." I whispered.

He gave me a questionable look.

"Well, most of it..." I whispered again.

"Wait, you read my essay?" He said opening the laptop.

"Of course! You cannot edit it without reading it." I said

"That is private." He said looking at me but he isn't mad

"I'm sorry in exchange for that I would take a sip on your greeny disgusting shake." I said and then I grabbed the shake and took a sip. Then, I felt something going up my throat and then I vomit all over the bed sheets.

"Sorry." I said wiping my mouth

He sighed.
