REGGIE MANTLE WAS A CATCH BUT HE WASN'T PERSONALITY WISE, not from what I've seen. All I've seen is pure arrogance and I'm not impressed. He's like a carbon copy of every jock bully from a 90's teen comedy.

It was whatever though, at least I had a new friend.

LAST NIGHT

"So what's your story?" I ask Emily and take a sip of my coffee 

"Well before I looked like this, I was the Queen Bee. Co-captain of the Rivervixens, dated a hot football player, was homecoming queen, you know all that mumbo jumbo. Cheryl Blossom and I, we were friends too, but then she betrayed me." Emily explained

"What did she do?"

"Well, she outed me...I mean I had a boyfriend at the time but I wasn't satisfied, I  always knew I liked girls....and I liked Cheryl...I mean she does like girls too, so we ended up kissing at one point or something...then she outed me the next day....it was messy. I mean no one cares because it was embarrassing."

"Well damn, I'm so sorry, that's awful."

"After that Cheryl and I just stopped being friends. She ended up kicking me off the River Vixens and everyone else iced me out. My boyfriend called me a dyke and dumped me...but I'm honestly glad, it all happened. Being popular was a whole load of work. But whatever. She got her karma when her brother got killed."

I nearly choke on my coffee

"Wait what? Fill me in!"

"Sandra, you never came to get milkshakes with me." I hear Reggie say as I'm closing my locker

I roll my eyes in annoyance, will people stop bugging me about these damn milkshakes.

"I never said I was actually going to go with you in the first place," I respond flatly and start to walk away

"But do you wanna do something else then, there's always other places here," Reggie says scrambling behind me

I turn around to face him.

"Look, Reggie, Reginald, or whatever name you go by, I'm flattered but right now I'm not interested in a relationship, and besides, you're not really my type either,"I explained

"What do you mean I'm not your type. You should want me. I'm a popular awesome-looking football player?" Reggie bragged, clearly not helping his case

"But I don't because you're an arrogant jerk. Reggie, I'm not some conquest or a naive little girl you can brag about to your friends either ."

"But I-"

"No buts, I'm out, see you around."

"So what's happening with you and Reggie?" Veronica asks me as I sit down at the lunch table with her, Betty, Kevin, and Jughead.

"What do you mean?" I asked Veronica

"I saw you talking to him again, what's going on between you two?" Veronica questioned

"Nothing, he tried to ask me out again and I told him once more that I have no interest in him," I reply

"Oh, well I can see why." Jughead comments

"I literally met him just 24 hours ago and I already know that the guy is about as deep as a kiddie pool," I say using a witty simile at the end of my sentence

Kevin and Veronica both snicker.

"Now you can say that twice," Jughead says with a smile.

Then something hits the back of Jughead's head. It was a football thrown then no other than Reggie. Him and his goons start laughing.

Reggie walks over to us with his goons.

"Sorry, Grim Reaper didn't see you there." Reggie remarks to Jughead

"Aw hell." I groaned out of annoyance

His goons laugh. Is that the best he could come up with? God, he's so lame.

"Grim Reaper, is that the best you've got? I mean, are you always such an idiot, or do you have to show off when I'm around now?" I ask Reggie

Kevin and Veronica cover their mouths to try to contain their snickers. Betty looks away smiling as Jughead does the same. The rest of his goons just go "oooh."

"Sandra didn't expect you to be sitting here, I'm surprised Mike Myers over here hasn't rubbed off on you yet." Reggie attempted to joke

I roll my eyes.

"One, you really need more creative insults, and two, don't you have anything else better to do right now?" I reply sassily

Louder snickers come from the others

"No....but you don't think I see it now, but I do, your just playing hard to get."

"Reggie, get over yourself, and please leave before I get a migraine from bickering with you."

"Whatever. By the way, you're cute when you're mad though." Reggie acknowledged and winks at me.

Then he finally leaves with his goons.

"Thank god," Veronica says

"Wow, Sandra, you're good," Jughead tells me

"Yeah, I'm probably gonna have to deal with that for the rest of the school year too." I groan

"Those are Riverdale jocks for you," Betty adds

"I don't know, I kind of think you guys would be cute. I can sense the sexual tension between you both." Kevin commented

"Oh, my god, shut up Kevin." Veronica laughed
