Dolphin was kissing Riptide. They weren't together. No way.

Tsunami knew she was in denial, but Riptide was her. freaking. husband.

Tsunami's POV

I'm not naïve.

I'm not.

I'm not.

I'm not.

But I don't believe it.

I can't believe it.

You know what, they were cheating.

It's fine.

IT'S FINE!

We'll get some couples therapy, talk it out, Riptide will apologize and we'll be happy.

THREE MOONS, IT'S FINE. THERAPY.

It'll work out.

It will.

I close my eyes and quietly pace, wondering if I should barge in.

No, I decide. Riptide knows what he should do.

Riptide's  POV

This was going farther than expected.

I supposed it was a mistake.

I mean, Tsunami and I were married.

But Dolphin was so much more amazing.

Amazinger? Amazinging? Whatever.

I felt a small ripple of guilt for what I was about to do next.

I had a ring.

Not on me. But the box was three steps away.

I could propose.

We could run away together.

It could be perfect.

I quickly decided to do it.

Tsunami would never know.

We can just pretend I died or something.

I stand up and Dolphin frowns. "Riptide, what's wrong?"

"Nothing, Dolphin. In fact, everything's perfect. You're amazing, this is amazing, but Tsunami is a problem, she's what's in our way. We can be together. And our time together, it's been amazing."

Tsunami's POV

What.

WHAT.

He's. Fucking. PROPOSING!!

NOT TO MENTION, RUNNING AWAY, FAKING DEATH, OOH, I HATE HIM!

I angrily step towards the door, prepared to slam it open.

Riptide's POV

I catch a glimpse of scales that look an awful lot like Tsunami.

I shake off thoughts, knowing I'm hallucinating.

I continue, "Dolphin," I start, throwing an absentminded look over my shoulder, "you're the most amazing thi-"

What I saw suddenly registers in my brain.

Three. Fucking. Moons.
