Tsunami tapped impatiently as she glared at the egg. It was pretty blue, nestled on top of a pillow. And not in the royal hatchery. Tsunami knew that the orca statue was gone, but she wasn't taking any chances.

She glanced around at the eggshells scattered around the floor. All the other eggs had hatched ages ago.

"HATCH!" Tsunami yelled.

Riptide tapped her head and laughed. "Stop yelling at my unborn child."

Tsunami turned around and sighed. "Tell your unborn child to be born."

Riptide shuffled over and put his tail around Tsunami. As he sat down, Tsunami felt herself calm down a bit. Only a bit, this was the last egg and it was out of hand. Even her favorite color turquoise wasn't enough to heighten her mood.

Suddenly, Riptide glanced up, spread his wings, and took off.

"Where are you going?" Tsunami yelped into the sky,  but when Riptide didn't answer, Tsunami decided she was done with his mysterious actions for the day. She walked back over to the egg and began a staring contest, she had faith in herself to win.

With her back still turned, Riptide snuck up behind her with a record player and a couple Vinyls. He placed it down and it began to spin.

And now the end is near,

And so I face the final curtain.

Tsunami whipped around at the sound of Frank Sinatra only to be greeted with Riptide dancing. Or at least she thought it was dancing, he was taking one step forward and then one step backwards. He was quite bad at dancing.

My friend, I'll say it clear,

I'll state my case of which I'm certain.

"Come on, dance with me." Riptide said, sticking out his arm. Tsunami shook her head, chuckling,  but started to rethink her decision when Riptide pulled out the MoonWalk.

I lived a life that's full,

I travelled each and every highway.

And more, much more than this,

I did it my way.

Finally, she complied and shuffled over. Riptide jumped up and down and looked like a total idiot. Tsunami joined him because he also happened to look totally content. They kept jumping up and down, flapping their wings, and singing along.

Regrets, I've had a few.

But, the again, too few to mention,

I did what I had to do.

And saw it through without exemption.

'My Way' isn't exactly a dance song but it couldn't matter less.

"This is ridiculous." Tsunami laughed.

"I love you," he answered while doing the shuffle. Tsunami smiled before responding that she loved him too. Soon enough, she collapsed on a pillow next to the egg. Riptide laid down on the other side of the egg.

Most dragons weren't allowed to stay overnight in the hatchery, especially not the common hatchery, but Tsunami had pushed, and was willing to take down anyone who got in her way, and in a result, she and Riptide had spent the last few nights in the hatchery.

I planned each chartered ouse,

Each careful step along the byway.

And more, much more than this,

I did it my way.

Riptide sat there analyzing his little egg. It was such a beautiful color, he just knew right then his little dragon would be beyond special.

"We should name our child to pass the time." He said, already brainstorming names.

Tsunami sighed in annoyance. "This child isn't being born anytime soon, what is the point?" She responded.

Riptide reached for her, knowing her impatience  stemmed from her excitement.

"It'll be fun. I like Paulo as a name," he offered.

"No way, a possible heir to the throne will have a much better name."  Riptide shook his head which ended up being quite a commotion as he was still on the floor.

"How are you so sure?" He questioned.

"I'm sure. I want a more neutral name, what about Seahorse?" Riptide thought about it and decided he liked it.

"But Donald Duck would have so much more character," he joked.

Tsunami burst out laughing and nodded."Certainly."

"Seahorse it is." He affirmed. Tsunami gave the egg a kiss and pulled a blanket over herself.

"Goodnight Riptide, goodnight Seahorse," she said.

Riptide finally realized how dark it was and pulled a blanket over himself too. "Goodnight," he whispered, but Tsunami was already asleep.
