Josh looked across the street, pulling back the green curtains of his glass window. He thought he heard something, and had confirmed it when he saw a moving truck with a family moving into the house that used to be for sale. The family looked pretty normal- There was a mother with blonde hair, a father with brown hair, and a boy. The boy had his hands folded across his stomach, looking directly at his mother.

The boy also had his hood over his head, covering his eyes and most of his hair. What Josh could see of the hair was that it was a nice chocolate brown. The family went into the house, but before they did two brothers were revealed once they leaped out of the back of the truck, giggling.

Josh closed the curtain, mostly uninterested  in what was going on outside. Just another family to move in, which would soon move out because of his pranks. He didn't mind though. There were no girls in the crowd. And none of the boys seemed that cute. Well, he guessed that the one boy seemed a bit cute. But that boy looked shy, and Josh knew he would have a hard time getting to know him anyway, so why even try?

Josh sighed, climbing back into his bed, pulling the covers over his muscular body. He set his alarm on his phone, knowing that tomorrow would be the last day of school for the year. He smiled, knowing he could hang out with friends. To bad he didn't have any. He didn't mind though, he could practice his drums.

He thought about that family. They must have come from a long way from Columbus to have come so late at night. He did want to get to know that boy though. He knew that boy probably wasn't going to school, it would be worthless. Maybe Josh would just ditch tomorrow, too. Pretend he was sick or something. Either way, he still fell asleep.

He decided to stay home that last day. He didn't feel like buying a year book. He could have honestly cared a less. He looked across the street to see the boy getting the mail. He held his long sleeves over his wrists, despite the weather of 95°. Josh just shrugged it off.

Josh then slid on his black skinny jeans and a white t-shirt. He decided to go outside, hoping not to wake his mom. He didn't want his mom to know he was skipping so he hid his backpack and raced out the door.

Josh ran to the park and took a seat on the log by the fire pit. He hoped no one would find him. He found a pile of wood and started the fire. Despite the weather, he sat close to it, it burning against his skin, making him feel slightly comfortable.

Still tired, Josh fell asleep right in front of the fire pit.
