Loki and Thor are still young, like in the beginning of the movie.
-In Asgard-
Odin led his sons through the halls of the castle, telling them stories they had heard time and time again, but were always insistent on hearing them again. After they had viewed the Casket of Ancient Winters, they were wandering through the halls before Odin took a sharp turn and lead them through an old hall, and the brothers wondered what else their father had in store for them. "Have you two ever heard tales of a girl in a crystalline coffin?" their father asked, stopping before a pair of wooden double doors. Loki scrunched up his face in thought. "I...might have. One time, I heard one of the soldiers trying to convince another that he remembered a strange being appearing at the battle of Jotunheim, but the other man wouldn't believe him," he affirmed. "Are you saying that there is a girl in a coffin here father? What's so special about that?" Thor ventured, tugging at his father's sleeve. Bracing his hands against the doors, Odin creaked them open. Golden light filtered through the arching windows, but were strewn across the room in colorful beams, reflected by the shimmering coffin resting towards the middle of the rectangular room. The boys ran forward, stopping just before the crystal case. "I can barely see the person inside!" Thor complained to Odin, and he chuckled. "Yes, even I wasn't able to get a perfect glimpse of her, she became encased too quickly. But, there are still ways to see her, you just have to figure it out," the king informed, and the children caught each others' eyes, confused. As Thor and Odin began to leave the room, Loki lingered. Placing his palm against the glass, he peered into the small enclosure. To his surprise, the fog in the crystal cleared, and he saw the face of a sleeping girl facing him. Jumping back, he jogged back to his father, resolving to return to the girl soon. "Father, I saw her!" he proclaimed, and Odin looked down at him. A small smile passed on his face, and he looked back up. "That's not possible, not if I didn't see her first!" Thor exclaimed from his father's right side. They walked back, away from the mysterious guest that had laid hidden to them for so long.
-A few years later-
It had been two weeks since Loki had gone to investigate the girl's coffin again. He seemed to be the only one who could see her, but that was alright. Walking swiftly through the old hall, he soon came upon the doors. Once inside the room, he crossed over to the coffin and placed his palm on the coffin, same as always. Throughout time, the fog in the coffin disappeared entirely when he arrived. Studying the girl, he was too lost in though to notice her hand begin to twitch. The girls eyes shot open, revealing an icy blue. Shocked, Loki removed his hand and hastily took a step back. Her eyes fell closed once more, and her hands relaxed from the fists they had clenched into. Startled by his new discovery, Loki left. Throughout the years, he would return to see the girl less and less often. Once a month, usually. Not out of boredom, but only because he was busy, and when people are busy they usually don't have time for other people. One day, when he was off somewhere else, the girl finally woke up.
-Present Time-
Cyril's POV:
Oh, God, how long have I been out? I groggily opened my eyes, only to be blinded by agonizing sun beams. Ripping my arms up to defend my innocent eyes, they knocked against something hard. "What the fuck?" I swore, and pressed my forearms against the barrier. Increasing the force caused cracks to spiderweb across what seemed to be glass. "Some glass. This shit is stronger than I remember," I grumbled. If you recall, I was blessed with the information that I'm not exactly human. Super strength, telekinetic stuff, the Ritz! Dropping my arms, I strained, imagining a powerful force pressing against a parts of the device I was trapped in. Naturally, it shattered, and sparkling bits of crystalline glass fell on and around me. Sitting up, I jumped off my perch, landing nimbly on the marble below. Brushing glass off my skin, I donned a full suit of invisibility. "They may be able to hear me, but at least they can't see me," I mumbled, and began walking hurriedly down the hall. As I proceeded to get more and more lost, I noticed that the people that I passed were dressed...strangely. 'What the devil is going on here?' I thought to myself. Leaning against a pillar, I took notice of a large throne, and figured that I was in a castle of some sort. Sighing, I reached into my pocket for my phone; only to find a crinkled up paper next to it. The paper was smooth and yellowed, and seemed old for something that I would usually keep in my pocket. It was a letter, and I began to quickly read it, my eyes widening as I realized what had been done to me.
The letter, as follows:
'Dear Cyril,
Fresh out of Death Note, it seems. Yes, I am the one who teleported you here, to Asgard. Welcome to the Avengers, Friend. You are still inhuman, as you have probably discovered. After all, how else could you escape the special container I sealed you in for over 1,000 years? If you are reading this now, the halls of the castle are most likely completed barren. This is because Thor's coronation ceremony is most likely occurring. I suppose I shall leave you be, now. Your contacts from your previous escapade are still embedded within your phone, and I will allow contact with them.
I wish you the best of luck Cyril.'
Dropping my arms, I felt an enormous wave of exasperation wash over me. "What the fuck?!" I yelled, shoving the letter unceremoniously back into my pocket. Rolling my eyes, I began to walk at a swift pace towards the sounds of cheering that had just reached my ears. 'At some point it's going to be found that I'm missing,' I thought. There was really nothing I could do except wait it out and stalk my favorite characters. Let's go check out that Coronation, shall we? No, wait...I have a better idea.
Now, where exactly is the Casket of Ancient Winters located?
