Hayes POV
next morning...

I woke up with the envelope next to my phone. I groaned and noticed it was only 7AM. Yesterday was pretty hectic with Ashlyn and Matt's breakup, but hopefully shes doing fine.

I looked towards the blue envelope, deep in thought, until Nash shouted my name.

"HAYES!"

"YEAH!?!" I shouted back still in bed.

"COME DOWN!" He shouted and I groaned. I stayed in bed for another second, but Nash shouted my name again. That was my cue to get my lazy ass up.

I slowly walked downstairs and saw Skylynn and our mom. "Good morning Hayes." My mom greeted and I gave her a hug and kiss on the cheek. "Good morning." I said back to Sky and mom.

After breakfast mom and Nash were talking about something, so Skylynn and I started to catch up. "Are you and Ashlyn dating?" She brought up out of nowhere. My eyes widened a little and that question caught Nash and mom's attention. I laughed a little, "Ashlyn just broke up with her boyfriend yesterday." I answered.

"But you and Ashlyn are really close." She sounded sad.

"So?"

"You two should go out because you two know each other very well." She added.

"Because we are best friends." I said.

"No because you care for her." Nash bud in. I rolled my eyes. I heard Ashlyn's ringtone go off so I answered quickly.

"Hey Hayes." She smiled.

"Hey." I smiled back. "Ooo I wanna see." Skylynn said peeking at my phone.

"Hey Sky!" Ashlyn said excitedly.

"ASHLYN!" Skylynn shouted. My mom gave her that use your indoor voice glare and she sat on my lap. I flipped the camera to reveal my mom and Nash.

"Good morning Nash and Hi Mrs.Grier how has it been?" Ashlyn said.

"Good morning Ashlyn."

"I've been doing well. What about you?" Mom asked Ashlyn.

"Well... as of right now Matt and I broke up." She said awkwardly.

"I'm sorry to hear that dear. Don't worry. There will be someone better for you." She said and blew a kiss to Ashlyn.

"Your mom is amazing." Ashlyn complimented and mom was happy to hear that. "Hey why don't you come over." I suggested.

"Sure why not. I'll tell Sierra." She said and hung up and we started to text.

A few minutes later, Ashlyn was here. Skylynn got along really well with Ashlyn. I just admired the way they bonded. My phone chimed and it was text from Nash.

Nash: So cute. BTW got a huge smile on :) #familygoals?

I looked up and both Nash and mom smiled at me. I blushed in embarrassment. "Mom. I have to go work is calling." Nash's phone was going off. "Aww okay have fun baby." She said getting a hug. Ashlyn's phone chimed after. Then a frown formed, "Work too?" Nash asked. "Sadly yes." She said standing up.

"Aww you have to leave now." Skylynn frowned. "I'm sorry Sky, but I promise we can have a day together." She crouched down to her height. "Promise?" Sky stook out her pinky. "Promise." Ashlyn intertwined her pinky with a smile. They hugged, then she left with Nash.

"Hayes, why don't you ask her out?" My mom said once the door closed. I looked at her weird. "Don't deny it Hayes." She said. "Mom please don't give me any lectures about feelings." I sat next to her.

"I approve of her though." Skylynn said. My mom smiled at her, then looked at me, "Hayes, I suggest you tell her sooner than later... you may never know if she likes you back." My mom said and I thought about it.

"Okay mom I understand." I said hugging her.
