Phil stared at him as his eyes were locked onto the phone on his lap. His brown hair almost covering one of his brown eyes. He was smiling. It was the most beautiful smile Phil had ever seen. He decided to text his anonymous texting buddy, like he called him.

Phil:
I want to talk to him so badly. But I'm way too nervous...

Just as he sent the message the smile on the brunets face dropped. But Phil didn't see it. Too caught up in his phone, awaiting some helpful advice.

Dan, the person who he had been texting with for the past weeks, the person who had a crush on him, and the person, who was heartbroken from the fact, that he liked someone else, didn't know what to say. On one hand, he would have never wanted Phil to end up with someone else, but on the other, he wanted him to be happy. And if that meant, that he had to give him advice on how to get together with this other person, he was willing to take it. He was willing to break his own heart over and over again for the sake of his happiness.

unknown:
if you're too nervous to talk to him in person, make out where his locker is and put a note in there. or do it like me and get his number in the most sneaky, james bond-ish way.

Phil couldn't stop the smile creeping on his face when he read the last sentence and a small giggle escaped his lips, which Dan saw and a smile came onto his lips as well.

"Phil! Have you forgotten that we exist again?", Louise asked, waving her hand in front of his face. "I'm sorry." "Maybe we would stop pulling you out of your own world if you finally told us, who you are texting with!", Connor said. "I already told you that I don't know!", Phil cried and sighed. "I still don't get how that works." Right after Zoe had said this, the bell rang with the same deafening volume as always, and the group put away their plates and split up to go to their classes.

Phil had English and just now he noticed, that the brown haired beauty shared this class with him. But while Phil sat in the middle of the room, he sat exactly two rows behind him, making it hard for him to find out something about him or just look at him while he's staring at a worksheet, all concentrated.

The lesson went by slowly. He didn't receive any messages from his anonymous texting buddy and the teacher simply talked the whole time, not even giving them some kind of work. So he decided to take the advice from earlier and started to work on a note he could stick into the locker of his crush, although he still didn't want to admit that it was a crush.

He ripped a sheet of paper out of his notebook, took a pencil and thought about, what he could write.

Dear brown haired guy I know nothing about...

You must be from Tennessee, 'cause you're the only ten I see.

Charmanders are red, mudkips are blue, if you were a Pokémon, I'd choose you.

He immediately crossed everything out.

Phil:
Do you have any ideas on what I could write onto the note?

unknown:
the only std i have is sexually transmitted desire... for you.

Phil:
I can't write that!

unknown:
but why not?

Phil:
You're no help.

unknown:
always at your service!

Phil put away his phone and was now doodling mindlessly on his paper.

Relieved, that this lesson was finally over, he packed his stuff and walked into the hall to get to his next class, while Dan was following his every move with his eyes. For a mere second their eyes met. Maybe it would have been longer if PJ didn't walk right in front of Dan to invite him over to his house in the afternoon to play video games with him and Chris. Dan, not being happy at all with this interruption, said yes, despite the fact that he had already mentally prepared himself for a browsing session on his bed, wearing his favorite jumper, cuddled inside his blanket and drinking a hot cup of tea, seeing as it was mid December and cold everywhere.
