Amirah

9:30pm"You always fucking bitching about something man!" Brandon yelled at me.
"I literally just asked where you were Brandon. I can't do that anymore?" I asked in a calm manner.
The good spot that we were in earlier this week quickly faded because the next day we were back to square one. Brandon had been acting very shady this week. He had been coming home really late recently and I was concerned. Brandon didn't go out much. It was always just work and home for him, but when he did go out he usually let me know. Last night he came home at midnight and instead of talking about it, he brushed me off.
"It was just a little odd because usually you get off at seven B. I was just asking. Why are you getting so defensive?" I asked him.
"Because Amirah you always on my ass like I'm some fucking kid yo. I'm a grown ass man and I'm tired of arguing with you every damn day," he tried to walk to the bathroom, but I blocked the door because I was tired him doing the same old shit.
Running away.
This right here is the exact reason why I feel like we need therapy. Before the tragedy happened, Brandon was an open book. He told me everything under the Sun with no issue, but now he was just so closed off and I didn't know how to deal with it. He wouldn't talk to me which is why I felt like we needed professional help. I was only concerned because wasn't the Brandon that I know.
"I'm so tired of you doing this Brandon," I told him.
"Amirah move," he said sternly.
"No because you can't keep running away from me. I asked you a simple question and you're getting all defensive about it," I folded my arms over his chest.
"I had a long day at work and all I wanna do is go and take a shower. Can I do that?" He ran his hands down his face.
"Why do you keep avoiding my questions?" I squinted my eyes at him.
"Move for real Amirah. Aren't you going out or something?" He observed my outfit.
My phone rang on the bed before I could even answer his question. I walked away from him and went to see who it was.
"Hello?"
"Hey Mimi. We outside boo," Mariah said.
"Okay gimme five minutes and I'll be right there," I ended the call and threw the phone on my bed.
"Consider yourself lucky," I shook my head at him.
