This is just a filler for the mean time. I changed Laila's age to 4 as well, but enjoy!

2:10pm"Thank God," I whispered to myself after my professor dismissed class early.
I loved this class but I was honestly out of it today. It was my Individuals with Disabilities class. It was a really interesting class because I got to learn about how to deal with children who had learning disabilities and I know that was something that I would be faced with being an educator.
I stood up from my chair and gathered my iPad, laptop, and notebooks then slung my backpack over my shoulder to leave the building. I was about to plug in my headphones to make that walk across campus to my car, but my professor called me over.
"Yes Dr. Watkins?" I asked walked up to the podium.
"Oh it's nothing bad. I just wanted to tell you great job on your research paper. I really enjoyed reading it Amirah," she smiled at me.
"Oh thank you," I smiled back.
"Are you thinking about enrolling in the masters program here?" She asked me.
"I'm actually not sure yet. I think I want to teach for a bit and then come back," I responded.
"Let me know what you decide to do. I'm looking for a teaching assistant and I think you'd be a great fit Amirah. You're truly one of my brightest students," she told me.
"Thanks Dr. Watkins. That really means a lot," I was smiling really hard at this point.
"I noticed you were kind of zoned out today. Is everything alright with you? You're usually very punctual and active in class," she said.
"Oh yeah I'm fine. Just having one of those off days," I told her.
"Oh okay well let me know if you need anything," she let me know and I thanked her before making my way out.
I put my earbuds in my ear and turned on my usual playlist. When I got outside, the fresh, cool air hit me and it felt nice. The walks across campus always relaxed me, but they also gave me time to think and reflect on my day.
I stopped by the counseling center this morning before my first class to book an appointment for Brandon and I. He agreed to go, but I knew he wasn't thrilled about it based on his actions this morning. He barely said two words to me this morning. All he said was good morning and goodbye.
