Lausyn's POV Today is when Jonas leaves. I can't believe it's already been a month.(His parents left him with her and her family while they went on vacation)
"Hey mom?" I ask her as I walk into the kitchen where she was cooking breakfast.
"Yes, sweetheart?" She answered, flipping the bacon.
"Have you ever had a long-distant relationship?" I ask her and sit down on the bar.
"Well. At a time, a long time ago." She laughs,"and what have I told you about sitting on that bar?"
"Sorry" I say hopping off and sit on a stool at the bar,"can you tell me about it? Like was it hard for you?"
"They can be hard. I know what you're going though with Jonas. It's just a big game of trust. Your trust has to be completely grounded, to the point where you can trust them around around other girls. I know that a long distant relationship is not fun, and trust me I know, but you gotta get use to it." She tells me, and I take a quick breath in.
I breathe out and nod.
"Everything is gonna turn out for the good. If God doesn't want you with Jonas, He'll let you know." She smiles,"I love you and I want the best for you, sweetie."
"I get it. It's just.. I love you Jonas. With all my heart. Don't get me wrong, he's the perfect boyfriend and is the sweetest guy I know. But something about him when he leaves... I feel empty, but yet alive. Like I don't have to worry about a person by my side. I mean, yeah. I talk to him on the phone and all, but it gets old. Talking face to face, I can see his smile and his dorky facial expressions.." I pause,"I'm sorry I'm just ranting now."
"It's okay, honey. I know how you feel. Just follow your heart." She smiles and kisses my head,"just so you know, I've never seen you look at someone with some much love in your eyes then you do with Jonas."
I smile and hug her.
"Thanks mom. I love you so much!" I say and squeeze her tight,"I'm gonna go see Jonas off. Bye!"
"Okay. See you later. I love you!"
I blow her a kiss and walk out the door.
*** Once I reach the hotel they're staying in, a lump forms in my throat. This is why I decided not to wear makeup today.
"Pull yourself together, Lausyn" I breathe out.
I get out of the car and text Jonas.
I'm here🙂
About 5 seconds later, he is texting me back.
Great, we're in room 438. Fourth floor.💓
I read the text and walk inside.
I walk into the elevator and push the four button.
I close my eyes and rest my head on the wall of the elevator. I take a deep breath and let it out.
The elevator dinged and I walked out.
The hall was silent. Too silent for me.
I quietly walk through the door-covered hall.
435.. 436..437..438.
I take a quick breath and slowly brought my hand up to knock on the door.
Once I do, I immediately regret it.
Three seconds later, the door opens swiftly.
"Oh hi Lausyn" Jonas's mom greets smiling.
"Hi Mrs. Bridges" I smile.
"Jonas, Lausyn's here" she smiles and walks into the room.
Jonas soon appears out from the wall.
"Hey baby" he smiles and embraces.
"Hey" I smile weakly.
"What's wrong?" He asks me, staring into my eyes.
"Jonas, we're going to put the stuff in the car." His father says and he and his wife walk out.
After they left, tears fall from my eyes.
"Oh my Lausyn" Jonas cooes and embraces me, "I'm sorry I have to leave."
She wipe my nose and nestle my head into his chest.
"I'm gonna miss you" I whisper into his chest.
"I'm gonna miss you more" he smiles and kisses my head.
"Jonas, let's go" his father yells opening the door.
"I'll walk you down." I smile.
He nods, and we walk towards the door.
Once we're outside, I immediately hug him tightly.
"I love you Lausyn" he says and kisses me, lingering a bit.
"I love you too Jay-bear" I smile and kiss him one more time.
He starts to walk towards the car.
"One more" he smiles and runs towards me.
I giggle and he kisses me passionately.
He smiles and gives me a tight hug.
"I'll visit soon. Stay beautiful." He smiles and kisses my temple.
I wave and he gets in the car. Little tears escape my eyes.
I quickly wipe them away.
I blow him a kiss and he pretends to catch and put it in his pocket.
I laugh and he sends one back.
"I love you" he mouths and I say it back.
I wave and watch the car leave.
After I stand there like an idiot for 10 minutes trying to process what just happened, I decide to go home.
I breath in and let it out. I walk to my car and drive home.
Once I get home, I go to my room.
I plop down on my bed and lay there for about 3 minutes, until my phone buzzed.
I sit up and look at my phone.
Jonas had tweeted something.

I sigh and walk to my bathroom.
I brush my teeth and put my hair into a messy bun.
I change into a long white t-shirt and get in bed.
Man, I miss this boy.
