Just smile for me and let the day begin

The brunette girl stood outside, feeling the air move her hair around. She smiled at the thought of another day in Music class. Music class was one of the classes that really showed her true colors. Since others thought she was the only shy and quiet one, and never really sparked anyone's interest.

She walked inside Riverdale High and smiled at her other friends — Betty, Veronica and Kevin. While they grinned in response.

The ginger haired boy stared at her and gawked at the sight of her smiling. Charlotte rarely smiles. That's weird. But she should do that more often.

"Andrews! Pay attention!" Archie snapped out of his daydream. Only to see his teacher with a displeased look on his face. "Sorry sir! It won't happen again," he replied. His teacher frowned and went back to lecturing.

"What happened back there Arch?" Jughead asked his best friend as he munched on his burger. It was lunch time, and their other friends were no where to be seen.

"It's nothing Jug. I was just a little distracted," he replied gloomy. While Jughead raised an eyebrow and smirked in response. "I don't believe you. I believe it's because of Charlotte right?"

Archie opened his mouth to speak, but he wasn't able to form any words, so he closed it. He dipped his head low. When Jughead didn't hear any denial, he knew well the answer.

"You're smitten Arch. Completely smitten. Oh wait! There they go... oh and is that Charlotte?" Archie shot up, sitting straight. "Wait where? Is my hair okay? Do I look okay? Do I look presentable?" Which caused Jughead to point to the direction where Charlotte and his other friends were passing by.

"Yup. You are really smitten. Bravo Archie Andrews!"

"Okay class, today for Music class, we are gonna choose people — specifically two, to sing a duet for the school dance! The piece that we are going to sing is 'On The Wings Of Love'!" Their music teacher, Ms. Hudson, discussed moving around the room.

Charlotte really wanted to be the one to sing — and hopefully, hopefully, her partner is Archie. If she gets chosens.

Their teacher clapped her hands together as she smiled brightly. "Oh wait! I assigned partners already. Okay, let me check my paper."

The whole class groaned, since they knew that they wouldn't be able to choose their own partners. If they get lucky, they might, be partners with the one they desired to be.

"Betty and Veronica!" Charlotte then heard cheers as she smiled.

"Mia and Eli!"
