Jake and Derek both headed off to the airport. I texted them both about having a safe flight. It's Saturday afternoon, as usual, I put the stereo loud with the song '1985' by Bowling for Soup. I danced all over the house while singing; I've been doing that for two hours. I heard a knock on the door; I walked over to open it "Danny!" I say, surprisingly.

"Surprise!" Danny hugged me tight and kissed my cheek. I kiss his cheek back "What brings you here?" I asked. "I told you I promise I will be back," we hugged tightly again, walking into the living room watching T.V "What you are watching?" he asked, "The Golden Girls," I replied. We cuddled on the couch while watching the show "I thought you're going to be with your family for Mothers Day like Derek and Jake" I wondered "I know, but Mothers Day is not till tomorrow and besides I wanted to see you." I snuggled in closer, my head on his shoulder. "Thanks, but you didn't have to do that," I told him. "I know, but I wanted to," he kissed my forehead.

It's nearly one in the morning, and I'm looking at my phone, I don't know whether or not if I should call my mom. It is Mother's Day in her time zone, and yet I haven't talked to her in almost a year. I looked at my phone one more time. "Babe, you okay? You seem lost in thought," he said. I look at him with a slight smile "It's nothing" Danny gave me the 'I don't believe you'  face, and I knew he wouldn't buy it, but it was worth a shot. "Babe, you can tell me I don't want you to hide things from me" I did a slight sigh, smiling and kissing his cheek 'I'm just thinking about calling my mother, it is Mothers Day her time plus it has been a while." "When was the last time you talked to your mom?" Danny asked, "Almost a year ago," I answered. He gave me a wide-eyed look, "What do you mean a year ago?" I turn down the volume from the television for no distractions. "Well, you know I ran away, and I needed to get my life in order. Also, if I called them, they will send me back, and I refuse to let that happen."

Danny hold my hand lightly, but I keep it tight. "Call her," he said, and I nodded. I picked up my phone, dialing the number, taking deep breaths trying not to panic.

Mom: Ohad!

Me: Hi, mom.

Mom: Oh my God, Where are you? Are you safe? What happened? I haven't heard from you in so long.

I looked over at Danny, giving him a nervous look. It's sweet how he never let go of my hand.

Me: Mom,  I'm fine. I have an apartment now and a job, and yes, I'm safe.

Mom: An apartment and a job! Where? I was so worried about, still, am. Please come home.

Me: Mom, I am home. Like I said I have an apartment and a job plus, I have good friends here.

Mom: Please come home, why did you run away in the first place?

I sighed when she told me to come back home for the second time. I began pacing the apartment all over; I can tell Danny is watching me, hoping that I'm okay.

Me: You know why I ran away, for letting dad send me back. So I ran away to start my life, and I did, I am proud and happy with how far I come.

Mom: Okay, okay, fine. Where are you living right now?

Me: Brooklyn.

Mom: Brooklyn?

Me: Yes mom, remember the show about the two cupcake girls living in Brooklyn, New Y-

Mom: New York! What the hell, Ohad?! That's close to your uncle; I'm giving him a call to check up on you.

Me: Mom, that's not necessary. I'm here with my best friend watching T.V and talking, so everything is fine.

Mom: Okay, Well, I'm going to tell everyone that you are okay. I will call you later. I miss you, and love you so much.

Me: Miss you and love you too and mom. Happy Mothers Day.

I pressed the end button. I took a deep breath then looked over at Danny. I sat back down next to him, putting my head on his shoulder. "Are you okay?" he asked, "Yea, at least it's down with, I guess." I begin to yawn, Danny asked me if I'm tired, but I responded with a slight shrug. He insisted on taking me to bed, so he helped me up, taking me to bed.
