Danny checked in a Best Western; the room he got was a suite. I told him a suite wasn't necessary, but he didn't mind spending extra. He says it's for us. We both got into the elevator, talked through the hall as Danny opened the door. I walked in, looking with amazement. "It's beautiful," I whispered. Danny placed the bags next to our bed while I looked over the window seeing the city, and of course, there is one building, Diamond Enterprises, and the Diamond Hotel in the far ground. I don't know whether or not if I should visit the building, but if Danny wants to see my past here, I have nothing to hide and no shame of it.
"Where would you like to go first?" Danny said as he wrapped his arms around my waist. "You wanted to come here and see everything, where would you like to go?" I said. Danny holds me tight, pecking my cheek, "You're so beautiful," he whispered. I smiled kissing his soft lips "I'm serious, tell me" he thought for a moment then asked to see where I worked, I told him I had two jobs here Forever 21 and a strip called Man Candy. Danny raised his eyebrow when I mention the strip club, but I can also tell he is intrigued by it.
"You worked at a strip club?"
"Yes."
"Can we go there then?"
"Sure, but let's go at night time."
Danny seems to mind going at night, but he's still curious about what I did there, so instead, we went to the mal. "Forever 21 is just around the corner," I say while holding Danny's hand. I'm starting to get a little nervous; it has been a long time since I saw my ex-co-workers. I let go of his hand cause it's getting sweaty, and he shouldn't feel how sweaty my hand is and how to know how nervous I am.
"Don't be such a nervous babe; I'm here if you need me."
"I know, and thank you," I looked at him with a smile.
"Always."
We both walked inside. I looked at the shirts while Danny looks over at the jeans, I suddenly felt, and hand touched my shoulder "Ohad?" a voice I recognized said, I turned "Clara." We hugged, "Oh my God, it's been so long, what are you doing here?" I told her now I'm living in Brooklyn with a few good friends and my boyfriend want's to see what I did when I lived here. "Nice, you have a boyfriend now, that's cool."
"Yeah, he's the guy looking at the jeans."
"He's cute," Clara giggled.
Clara was asking me why I'm living in Brooklyn, but I told her it was a long story I didn't want to get into it right now. We talked for a while about the changes since I left like the city and the changes upon ourselves.
"I'm going to show my boyfriend more of the city, it was great seeing you again" we hugged.
"Sure, no problem, it was great seeing you too."
We got out of the mall walking blocks upon blocks finding ourselves standing in front of the Diamond Enterprise building. I began to stare at it, wondering if I should go in or walk away "You've been staring at the front door for a few minutes, everything okay?" I hold Danny's hand and looked at him "Want to go inside?" Danny gave me an unsure look, "I don't if we should." I looked back at the door giving it a smirk of determination. "Well, I'm taking a chance."
I walked inside as Danny followed me.
