24 - Kimberly's Big Day

2 MONTHS LATER

It was our daughter's BIG DAY! HER WEDDING DAY! So I was in the bridal room with her and helped her get into her gown and veil. Dylan was getting ready also, a few rooms down from ours. So I helped her get into her gown and then I helped her slip into her shoes. Once she was ready, Scotty came in and stood in awe because, HIS daughter looked STUNNING! He walked toward her and then couldn't control his emotions and started crying again. All he said through his tears was, "My little girl." He wiped away his tears and hugged Kimberly and then gave her a kiss on the forehead. Then I took my seat in the sanctuary and Scotty stood next to Kimberly. Dylan walked passed his bride-to-be with a little wave and mouthed the words, See you soon, my love. He walked down to the end of the aisle to wait for his bride and then Kimberly and Scotty walked up to where Dylan was standing and Kimberly on the left, Scotty in the middle, and Dylan on the right. The preacher looked at all three of them and asked, "Who gives this woman to wed this man?" Scotty said, "I do." Then he backed away, but not before giving Kimberly one last kiss and then he went to sit with me. Then Kimberly and Dylan turned to the preacher and said their vows to each other. Kimberly went first, her's went as follows: "Dylan, you are the man who will always keep me safe from harm and take care of me. Please stay by my side for as long as I live." Then Dylan said his vow: "Kimberly, you are my world, inside and out. I will always be here whenever you need me, I'll be here. I promise." He put his hand on his heart just then and nodded his head. After vows were said, rings were exchanged. Kimberly went first, "Dylan, please take this ring as a sign of my love." Then Dylan said, "Kimberly, take this ring as a sign of my love." Then Dylan lifted Kimberly's veil and the preacher said, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. Dylan, you may kiss your bride." He put his hands on her cheeks and gave her a long passionate kiss. They walked back up the aisle to her dad's song, "I Love You This Big." Then they headed to their reception where Dylan performed and their first dance as a married couple was called, "Amazed" and Scotty sang it while they danced. After the reception, they went on their way to start their lives together as a married couple.
