An Unexpected Love

Hello guys, here's part two to the last chapter. And now I get to have fun writing this chapter. *maniacal laugh*

Natsu's POV

Ed starts to get out of the car when he stops suddenly.

"Hey..." Ed starts, not facing me "Natsu?" "Yeah?" I wonder what's up. He straightens his back, and turns around to face me. His face was straighter than me, and I could tell that he was serious. But about what, I couldn't tell. In the midst of my thoughts, I realize that the space between us is almost nothing.

I feel my face and ears heat up, and for whatever reason I'm thinking of the song Can You Feel The Love Tonight from Lion King. I notice he leans in a little more, and my eyes start to close by instinct.

Then.

He.

Kisses.

Me.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

(A/N here comes the cringe for me and probably you...) Ed's lips are softer than the rug in my apartment, but still have a certain roughness to them that I can't describe. His lips also have a kind of warmness to them, and I can't help but kind of want more. I'm soon denied of having more when he pulls away, leaving me there with my eyes still closed and lips wanting more of his. (A/N oh GOD the cringe!)

I open my eyes to see the best thing, -other than him- Edward Elric blushing. We stare at each other for what seems like eternity, and I can't help but smile and put my hand to his cheek. God do I love him...

Before we knew it, it was 7:35. It's past the time that I would normally eat, but there's a bar nearby that I go to on occasion. "Hey, it's 7:35. I know a great bar nearby, would you like to go there for dinner? I'll pay for it, in return for the ice cream." I ask full of confidence, like our kiss took away all of my fear. "Sure," he says with the same confidence I have. "What's the name of it?" "It's called The Crow Bar. There's a guy there that always drinks until he almost passes out, but he's a good man; got a sister, two nieces, but is unfortunately followed by bad luck..." I get out of the parking setting (A/N Idk what to call it I've never driven a car before) and head out to The Crow Bar. I hear Ed turn on the radio and switch stations until he found something he liked, and I can't help but smile a little at his cuteness. He finally decides on what I could assume to be 93.1, and he turned it on when Closer by Chainsmokers featuring Halsey started playing. We both jam out to it like the goofballs we are.

A couple minutes after the song ended, we got to the bar. I could tell that Qrow was here because, there was an ominous presence at the front entrance. That tends to happen only when his sister is in town...

This can't be good. Whenever she's in town, Qrow gets more stressed than a high schooler with an essay due in ten minutes. (A/N EpicTyler525)

We walk into the bar, and there was a large crowd in the middle of it. It had to be Qrow and Raven, it just had to be. I try to ignore the commotion, and drag Ed over to where it was peaceful and quiet. We sit down at a table with two chairs, at we take a look at the menus provided. After a while, our waiter, who's name is Bob, comes by. "Hey Natsu, how's it goin'? Is this your friend or something?" He asks. I look over at Ed for help, because I don't know what we are. I don't know if we're co-workers, friends, or boyfriends. He looks at me with a look that almost says 'do you want to be a thing?' I lightly nod, enough for only him to notice. "I'm actually his boyfriend." Ed states proudly, as if he'd been waiting centuries to be able to say that. "Oh, sorry. My bad," Bob apologizes. "Would you guys like anything to drink?" "I'll have a Mountain Dew, please." I say to my friend. "I'll just have a Sprite." Ed says. "Alright I'll get that for you guys." Bob says with a wink, and leaves.

"Sooooo... I'm your boyfriend now?" Ed says with a smirk, and I just want to stuff my face into a pillow. "Shuut uup..." I say, knowing that my face is probably as red as a tomato. "Awww but if I did, I wouldn't be able to talk to you." He says with a wink. I sigh at his response, and I can't help but laugh at him. Bob comes by with our drinks. "Here are your drinks gentlemen. Have you guys decided on what you would like to eat?"

I take one last look at the menu before I ask Ed, "Do you wanna share a margarita pizza with me?" "Uhh.. Sure!" "Alright I'll go ring it up." Bob says. He walks away, then Ed and I resume talking to each other. After a while I start to wonder, what did he do before he started working at the office? "Hey Ed," I start to say. "What did you do before you started working at the office?" He waits a little, and takes a sip of his Sprite before he replies. "I used to be an alchemist. But I wasn't one of those alchemists that went power crazy, I wanted to help people and I didn't want people to die because of me. I had to have a little girl being turned into an abomination on my conscious, and there were a lot more things that went wrong..." "O-oh. I'm sorry Ed, I didn't know you had to go through that. I-" I'm stopped mid-sentence by Ed grabbing a hold of my hands, and waits a little before saying, "Natsu. It's oh. Kay. I'm fine now, and I'm even better with you. I've grown from that experience, and I use it to remind myself to keep going. You have no need to be sorry. You're my boyfriend now, you should know these kinds of things about me."

We see Bob come to us with our pizza, and Ed let's go of my hands to grab a slice. I take a moment to process what he just said, then I grab a slice myself. "Will that be all for you guys?" Bob asks us. I look over at Ed before I nod, having a mouth full of food. "Alright I'll get your receipt for you." Bob says with a smile, then walks away. Ed and I share the pizza in silence, a little awkward after his story about the girl. I finally decide to break the silence. "What was the girl's name?" I ask, with sadness stuck in my throat.

"Nina. Nina Tucker. She would look forward to playing with us until... that happened. I'd... rather not talk about what happened... I'm still... a little emotionally sore after that." "Yeah... I know the feeling..." I say out loud, not even knowing that I said it out loud until I see Ed nodding, as if he feels he's being understood. Bob comes over with the receipt, and I take out my wallet so that I can get the amount needed.

"Ready to go?" I ask Ed, putting my wallet back in my pocket. "Yeah." He replies back to me, and we face each other, and I still can't help but smile at the fact that not only did I just have dinner with Edward Elric...

But I had my first dinner with my boyfriend.

A/N I know, it came out later than what you might've hoped, but I had some birthday stuff yesterday. (cuz that was my birthday) But, yeah. Also, I got the You Never Walk Alone album. If you don't know what it is, look it up. For the mini pictures, (there was two) I got Suga and Jin. So yeah.
