Chapter 21

[Mr. S holding his red axe on one of his hands and he's astonished while looking at Mr. R]

Mr. S: A plan?

Julie: You have a plan to get out of here?

Adam: Yes. That's why I went to get this canister full of gasoline.

Mr. S: Gasoline?

Mr. R: Yes, before we go we need to make sure that nobody else returns to this school.

[Mr. S looks surprised]

Mr. S: But what's your plan, though?

Mr. R: Well...everybody gather around.

[Everyone gathers, Kairy still sobbing over the lost of her Aunt is standing beside Mr. S and Julie. Adam is standing next to Mr. R and the rest are surrounding them]

Adam: Okay...let's explain.

Mr. R: Adam and I have pitched a plan on getting out of the school. But as you know we need to make sure no one comes back here.

Adam: Yeah, that's why I got some gasoline from the Industrial Art class.

Mr. R: We are blowing this place to the ground.

Mr. S: What? But what if they're more people alive around?

Adam: I checked the whole school, didn't see anybody, alive that is.

Mr. R: Since we can't leave through the front doors, because their locked and we don't know where the keys are. We need to find the other exits and burn this place.

[Kairy hears that and puts a serious face]

Mr. R: But for that to happen we need to check the emergency doors.

Adam: Yeah, there is one in the cafeteria and the other...

Julie: (interrupts) ...in the Gym.

Adam: Yeah.

Julie: That's where May and Rictor went and I hope they escaped.

Mr. R: But we need to open the gas pipe lines before we leave.

Kairy: Oh my...

Mr. S: So what's the plan then?

Mr. R: Well, I'm going to the Cafeteria to check on the emergency door and open the pipe lines. Then I will come back and get everyone and exit this place as soon as possible.

Mr. S: Kind of sounds like a good plan. But you're not going alone.

Mr. R: Yes, I am.

Mr. S: No, you're not. I'm going with you.

[Kairy holds Mr. S's arm]

Kairy: (softly) what?

Mr. S: He can't go on his own, Kai. And you'll all be safe here.

Kairy: (sobbing) but we just lost...

[Mr. S puts his hands on Kairy's shoulders and replies]

Mr. S: I know who we lost, but she would wanted for us to survive this.

[Kairy lowers her head and Julie puts her hand around Kairy]

Julie: Mister is right, if they both work together they will get here faster.
