Mortal Kombat: Rudiment

Prologue

The first thing I remember is a well.

This well was enclosed. Cut off from the natural beauty of the world. The world I had created. This Earth where I introduced life.

This well was where I lived in. With my other three sisters. We represented the main cardinal directions on a compass rose. We loved each other.

My father.

Now don't get me wrong. My father was a great and compassionate figure. But something happened. In his brain. He killed our mother. And put us here. 

He hurt us. I remember pain. I know that I took the blame for whatever my sisters or I "did". He always blamed us. I took the blows. He cut me. He kicked me. He did things to my body that I'll never say. I suffered so my older and more fragile sisters wouldn't.

Then, one day, I escaped.

Beyond the well, everything was foreign. It's funny now that I think about it, how I created life, and yet it was so unusual to me.

I was collected by an assassin clan. Called the Black Demon originally, this organization would eventually turn into the Black Dragon. Having no sense of the outside world, I was easily corrupted. You have no idea how many people I slayed under their name.

Eventually, I questioned things. Realizing the truth, I attacked and destroyed the clan and anyone I saw on the base. When I had finished this deed, I was ready to leave.

The gods found me. Seeing that I was the same person they condemned to live forever on the world she had illegally created, they locked me away, and preserved me. However, I had gained more powers the day I escaped that well. These reasons I will not say.

But a storm is brewing. Word of Raiden, previous protector of Earthrealm, has changed dramatically. The world is falling into chaos. The new gods have discovered my existence. 

They intend to free me. And I intend to fight.
