New girl, New feelings! (Rewritten)

Sarah's POV

I was grooming Scarlet while chatting with Will about the riding competition next week, when he suddenly brings up a topic completely irrelevant, but still important.

''Hey, Sarah I forgot to tell you that a new girl is coming today.'' Will said.

I stared at him, a little surprised but still quite interested and curious. I got a tad excited about hearing that; the last time we had a new rider was when Nani showed up.

''Oh? When will she get here?''

''In a couple of hours. I was planning on cleaning one of those extra stalls out after grooming Jimber.''

''Well I'd be happy to help! I can't wait to meet her! Do you know her name?''

''Nope. Bailey's folks wouldn't tell me, they just said to tell everybody a new girl is coming.''

I sent a gentle smile at Will, before turning away as slight concern started to edge into my mind. I hope she won't be mean like Chloe or Zoey..

A few hours later a jeep pulled up. I ran outside; I was so happy that a new rider was here! Molly, Alma, and Nani had left for a couple of months for this national competition that takes place in different states. I REALLY needed a girl around to talk to. And yea, Chloe and Zoey are here.. But they hate me and the feeling is mutual, so having somebody new here to talk to would be quite amazing!

A girl around my age got out. She had deep brown hair, with chocolate brown eyes to match; I noticed that she sported a deep violet riding jacket, with white pants and cream colored boots. The horse trailer opened up and out came an Arabian. The mare was a beautifully stunning white, with a cream colored mane and tail; violet streaks accented her long cream mane.

I noticed that the moment she stepped out, her first action was to gawk at Will. She eventually made her way up the dirt path to where Will and I were idling by.

''Hi! I'm Will, and this is Sarah!'' Will said in a very kind tone. The girl smiled at him and Will smiled back. I felt something inside me. Was it nervousness? Or jealousy? I looked down at my boots; refusing to continue looking at the small scene. I don't understand why I was suddenly feeling like this; they're literally just smiling at each other, I shouldn't feel this way.. 

"Nice to meet you Will, I'm Stella! My horse here is named Mira." She patted her horse gently on the neck, looking back to Will. After a few moments, Will decided to lead her and Mira to the open stall we prepared.

After we had settled Mira in, we started the tour. If I'm being honest here, I kind of felt invisible the entire time. Stella seemed to focus all of her attention on Will, and I couldn't seem to get a word in edgewise. I couldn't help but feel a little jealous that Will was focusing so much on her. But why should I suddenly feel jealous? She's new here, so of course he's focusing his time on her more often; she knows nothing about Horseland, and she's only been here for almost an hour.. But I couldn't help it. These feelings keep rushing to my head for no reason, and I keep finding myself stopping at a thought in my head that just wouldn't seem to go away. What if Stella likes Will? And why am I upset about it.. There's only one reason for it though.. A reason I can't help but blush at.. Do I like Will?
