Being Injured By An "Accident"

Sarah's POV

I explained to my friends that I was leaving. I got shocked and sad responses as I told my friends. Even Chloe and Zoey were starting to tear up as they both hugged me. Soon the rest of the girls joined in. We decided to go on a trail ride, and I smiled greatly at that. A nice trail ride with my friends.. The perfect way to spend time with my true friends! I thought as I tacked up Scarlet and gave her a quick brushing before heading off with everybody. I noticed that they invited Stella.. Awesome.. The girl that crushed my chances with Will is coming on the special trail ride that was supposed to be for only my friends and I.. Fabulous. I thought bitterly as she kissed Will on the cheek goodbye before getting on her horse and joining the rest of us. I may of as well be nice to her since I'm leaving. Then after that she'll be out of my hair and I won't have to deal with her again. I threw a fake smile towards her as she got Mira into a trot to catch up with us. "So Stella. The girls and I are arranging a friendly race we will be doing tomorrow.. Want to enter?" I asked her. He eyes flew over to me, full of shock. She smiled and nodded. "Oh, um sure!" She soon started talking with the others, telling them jokes, messing around with them. It felt like she was trying to take away their attention from me.. I guess you could say I'm jealous.. But it didn't feel fair! 

I didn't really enjoy myself since Stella distracted everybody with her amazing stories she told. I felt so happy inside when we finally got back. The sun was setting and the ride felt like an eternity. We got lost a few times since we were checking out a new trail. But we got back eventually, and I was so happy when we did.

I groomed and fed Scarlet as I heard everyone's loud chatter as they took care of their horses. I escaped a quiet sigh of relief as I heard a vehicle pull up I closed the stall door to see my limo. I grabbed my things and ran to the limo, quickly opening the door before the driver could come out and open it for me. To be honest I never liked it when he did that. It didn't feel right to have him do it for me. I could open my own doors, and I tell the driver all the time to not get out, but he does anyway, and I guess he won't stop even if I tell him to. I closed the door and got comfortable in the car, and soon enough I fell asleep as we drove home.

~~The Next Day~~

We finally finished setting up the race course. I went through a long wavy path with tons of hills. We tried to make it a bit hard, but not dangerous. I got on Scarlet and we got to the starting line. Nani, Zoey, Chloe, and Stella were competing too. I felt nervous since Zoey usually won at these types of things. Everybody else were waiting by the finish line. Bailey was on Aztec by the starting line. Scarlet got ready and I stared straight ahead, waiting. "Ready..." Bailey said holding a flag high in the air. "Set...." He said lowering the flag halfway. I felt so nervous and I had so many butterflies in my stomach. Everybody was still and silent as they waited. "..GO!" He said throwing the flag down. We bolted off, as fast as we could we raced along the path. I was in last, trying to conserve Scarlet's energy. Scarlet and I soared over the first jump, and quickly dodged a few trees and large rocks in the path. The path soon opened into the forest. A rabbit bolted  off the path just in time as we raced through the forest. suddenly Stella slowed until she was behind the others and I. I didn't move my eyes from the path ahead of us, but I noticed she was getting too close to Scarlet and I. Suddenly Scarlet let out a high pitch whinny and bucked me off as she galloped off, her screeching full of fear and pain. As I hit the ground the last thing I heard was Stella laughing as she sped on, and I kept listening to her and Mira speed off until moments later, everything went black. 

I remade this chapter since the original had the worst plot ever.. So I'm back and updated it to hopefully a much better version! Hope you enjoy!
