Alicia's P.O.V
"Ron!" I shouted, catching him up as he power walked down the corridor.
"Ron wait up! I need to talk to you!"He slowed to a stop and turned around to face me.
"Alicia," he said, his voice full of concern."Ron!" I replied. "We need to talk."
He winced at those words. I couldn't blame him. They were the universal warning a break up was about to happen.
"About what I apparently said about you, - what you heard in Potions?" He asked.
"No!" I said quickly. "Well, I mean yeah... that's what started it I suppose. But don't you think we've maybe rushed things a little?" I asked.
"No of course not! I like you, and you said you liked me..."
"Ron calm down," I said quickly because he started talking too fast and panicking.
"It's just... we've known each other less than a week.""Alicia," he said, grabbing hold of my hand "The first time I saw you on that train I already loved you. Yeah, I get that we've not known each other long but you can't help what you feel can you? And I swear, I swear on Scabbers' life I didn't call you easy. I don't know why Harry said I did. Just please let me stay with you," he said.
I sighed.
"Ron, it kills me to say this but we've rushed into this. It feels too forced. Give it a bit more time and maybe we can try again," I said softly. He looked at me, and his face quickly turned from upset to anger.
"Fine. Whatever!" he snapped, and walked away."Ron! We can still be friends!" I called after him, but he just ignored me and stormed off around the corner.
"Oh shit," I said quietly to myself, "What have I done?"
I walked down the corridor to my favourite room in Hogwarts. Ginny told me about it, she said she used to come here when she needed some alone time, because not many people know about it. It's a beautiful room. At first glance, it could be mistaken for a bathroom, because of the sinks and cubicles. However it's more like a spa/common room type thing. The cubicles are actually changing rooms. At the very end of the room, there's a giant window with a gorgeous view. Next to the window there is a high backless sofa, kind of a like a window seat. When you first walk into the room there's a classy set of chairs and sofas around a table. Around the corner there is a big ass pool with different coloured lights and on the wall there's a giant moving photo of a hippogriff. It was empty, which meant it was perfect.
I sat down on the window seat, with my back leant against the wall and my knees pressed against my chest with my face resting on them. I sighed and stared out of the window. I thought about how much I'd messed things up. Did I overreact? Had I really ruined my friendship with Ron, for good? And what would the girls think of me, after they worked so hard to set us up in the first place. I rested my face in my hands.
Suddenly, I heard the door open so I sat up and wiped my eyes so it didn't look like I'd been crying.
Next minute Draco Malfoy comes into view.
"Hi," he said awkwardly.
"Hey," I replied, not in the mood to argue with him.
"Look, I know you hate me, but are you okay?" he asked, probably noticing how red my eyes were.
"I don't hate you," I replied with a sigh.
"You don't?" he asked, sounding surprised.
"No. I've not known you long enough to hate you," I replied.
