Draco's P.O.V

I walked to my first lesson; Potions. I have to admit, I wasn't exactly looking forward to it. After yesterday's lesson, a ton of people had been laughing and pointing. Obviously I just hexed them, but still. I've got  a reputation to uphold.

As I entered the classroom I noticed two Hufflepuff girls looking at me and giggling.

"I swear to Merlin I will hex you," I said menacingly.

The girls stopped giggling and they turned to their textbooks.

"Well say sorry then. Or I might hex you myself," said another girl at their table.
A certain Slytherin girl.

"Stay out of it Pansy," I sighed.

Pansy Parkinson. My girl best friend. Of course, life would be a lot easier if she didn't want to be more than just friends.

"Jeez, what's got your wand in a knot?" She asked sulkily.

"I'm sorry Pansy," I said, sighing again.
"It's just this Alicia stuff... it's got me all stressed out."

"I don't see why you like her so much," Pansy scoffed.

"I can't really explain it. It's just like... something clicked when I saw her on the train. You know the phrase 'love at first sight?' Something like that," I said.

"Pathetic," she replied.

"Oh thanks a lot. Some friend you are. You can't even be happy for me!" I shouted angrily.

"Look Draco, I'm sorry. I'm just really-"

"Jealous. That's what you are. You're just a pathetic jealous little bitch!" I shouted and stormed over to the table I was working at.

I looked back over at Pansy and saw she looked hurt, hunched over her book as if trying not to cry. I felt bad for a minute, but I was just sick if her getting involved in everything all the time.

"Morning Malfoy," Lavender Brown said with giggle, taking a place next to me at the table.

"Oh don't you start as well," I said, rolling my eyes.

"I'm not," she replied sweetly.
"Oh yeah, did you manage to get those flies out of your hair?"

I glared at her and she burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?" I heard Alicia say from behind me.

Automatically I ran my hand through my hair. She sat down across the table from us.

"Adorable. But I think not. Back next to Malfoy like last lesson, Miss Smith," Snape said.

Alicia rolled her eyes and stood back up. She glared at me, and I noticed her eyes were red, as if she'd been crying. She sat down next to me and opened her text book up.

"Morning Alicia," I smiled.

Wait - what?! Me, Draco Malfoy smiling? No. I don't smile. I use my Malfoy signature smirk, it's just what I do. What is this girl doing to me? Maybe Pansy was right. Maybe I don't even like her. Maybe I was just trying to prove something to myself.

"Just because I'm sat next to you doesn't mean you have to talk to me. Trust me blondie, the mood I'm in, even if you breath too loudly, I might just pour something more disgusting than the flies over your head. And the detention will be worth it, because I'll spend it planning your death. Maybe I'll get in touch with that Sirius Black. Get him to Avada Kedavra the shit out of you," she said.

Oh yeah. I remembered why I liked her again.

I did as she said and stayed quiet, probably surprising her.
