Chapter 4

Ivy's Point of View

You don't get to where I am in life without getting some marks along the way. My Dad never frowned on tattoos, and we were well connected to the best artists in the city- maybe even country. So as soon as I was sixteen I got half my arm tattooed.

I was actually the family crest. But no one knew that a part from Dad. It was detailed and mirrored the painting that hung in Dad's study. That had been in family for generations.

Then along my rib cage I had a mark for each kill I considered a challenge. So not for every man or woman I killed, only the ones that challenged me. If I was marking my body for each kill, I'd run out of room.

People never saw my tattoos, I usually always wore long sleeves. Sometimes at the beach I'd wear a bikini. But no one knew me there.

It was only at the coast I showed my half sleeve. Never once at school had I. I couldn't draw attention to myself. And having a tattoo, as detailed as mine, when you are under age, would bring attention.

Ty pulled back from our kiss, and like normal I knew what he wanted. But we weren't having sex here when I had a car to fix.

"So back to the people I want you to meet." He said breathless.

I frowned. "What people?"

He nodded his head and I looked over my shoulder.

NO WAY was my luck THAT bad! You had to be fucking with me. Seriously. There had to be some curse on me right now.

Ryder was standing there with Dana under his arm, with a smug expression. Like he had picked it was me from the beginning.

I had gone back to be invisible after our gym session and I was positive he had forgotten all about me.

And now he was here.

On my one weekend off.

At the coast.

"Hi Ivy, I don't think we have ever been introduced properly." Dana walked towards me with a hand extended.

If there was one thing, they should know about me, it was I wasn't friendly. So I looked at her hand, ignored it and looked back at Ty.

"I know them. They go to my school."

He cracked a grin. "I forget you go to school. Wait a sec," He frowned. "You lied to me."

What how? It was my turn to frown.

"You said you only come here once a month because of school. You know I want you more than once month! Hell Ivy, it's the reason you won't be in a relationship with me!"

I opened my mouth but it would seem his rant wasn't stopping there.

"So all this time, you live here. Could be in a relationship with. But only come here once a month!" Ty's rant was going on. He wasn't even letting me get a word in. "You lied to me. So much for your word that you would never lie to me! What else do you lie about?"

Well I can't answer that question, cause the truth was EVERYTHING! I lied right down to my name. Sure it was Ivy but my last name certainly wasn't James.

I opened my mouth to start explaining. Well explaining what I could. Like for one. I was lying when I said I didn't live here.

"We actually live five hours away, in the city." Ryder said, walking towards Dana. Dana, who I had ignored. "In the city."
