Effrin
I knocked on the door of Kay's apartment and stood back waiting on her to open up the door. When I heard the door unlocking, I picked up the numerous bags I had sitting down on the floor around me. Kay pulled the door open in her sports bra and sweat pants, upset when she saw me. He smiled. "What's up ma? I got you and Te some stuff," I said, referring to my son. I tried walking into her apartment but she blocked the door. "I can't come in now?" I asked, chuckling.
She folded her arms. "That's all you're gonna say when the last time you were over here was when you got out of jail. You're really on some bullshit Effrin."
I kissed my teeth. "Just let me come in Kay. I'm not fighting with you girl."
She sighed and moved over so I could walk inside of the apartment, I had been paying the rent on. I don't know why she makes it seem like I don't do good by her. I'm paying her rent and I give her child support every month for Deonte. All she has to do pay is her car note, which should be the least of her concerns since she's raking in hundreds every night at Sinners.
"Where's Te at," I asked her.
"In the back."
I nodded my head and walked to the back of her apartment where I could hear cartoons playing on the TV. I knocked on the slightly closed door and pushed my way inside to see Te jumping on his bed. I rolled my eyes. Kay was making it seem like she had everything under control here but the kid was about to jump off of the bed and break his neck. She ain't have shit under control here.
When he saw me he jumped into my arms smiling. "Daddy! I missed you!" I cringed at the sound of him calling me Daddy. I'm still getting used to this being a parent thing, especially with him since I barely see him. It's different with Victoria. I see her every single day plus she can't even call me Daddy yet but it would be more normal to hear it coming out of her mouth than his.
I put a smile on my face. "Hey Te. I bought you some stuff."
He smiled. "Toys?"
I chuckled at the sound of him trying to pronounce words clearly, since he's still trying to grow in his two front teeth. "It could be. Just check out the bags lil man and I'll be right back."
"Okay," he said, reaching for the bags as I sat them down on his bed. I was on my way out of his room when I stopped by the door. "Te?" He looked up towards me. "Don't let me catch you jumping on that bed again kid."
He nodded his head. "Mommy said I could jump on the bed."
I sighed. "A'ight, well look just don't jump on the bed. You're gonna break the bed or fall off and break your neck."
"My neck," he asked, confused.
I nodded my head. "Yeah and I don't want that to happen," I said, walking out of his room. "Kay!"
"What," she yelled down the hall.
I pushed through her bedroom door and stood in the door frame. "Why the hell would you tell Te it was okay to jump on the bed," I asked folding my arms.
"Because I said he could. It's not like he can go out and play in the backyard and he doesn't even have that many toys for him to play with."
"Well how 'bout you stop being so got damn cheap and buy our son some toys instead of getting your nails and shit done?"
"One, I provide for him as much as I can and I still need to keep my image up for my job. How about be a man and provide for your family?"
"I do," I spat.
She rolled her eyes. "No. I'm not talking about your family with Sincere, I'm talking about me and Te. It's like you forget about the two of us for them all of the time."
"Because you were just a little thing on the side that wasn't supposed to get pregnant. You already know this."
She rolled her eyes. "You always tell me that shit and expect it not to hurt when you know I've had a crush on you for years and when you finally gave me the time of day, I was too excited. I didn't want to get pregnant but I did, with your kid and I love him. I don't regret him nor do I regret sleeping with you, like you do with me," she replied.
"Why you always trying to make me feel bad for saying the shit I do?"
"Because you should feel bad! You walk all over me and treat me like a piece of shit."
"Because none of this was supposed to happen. You already know I wanted to have a family with Sincere, ever since y'all were in high school. I love Sincere."
"And I love you! How come you can't just see how much I love you and care about what happens to you Effrin," she asked. I sighed and turned to walk out of her apartment because I knew if I told her the truth she'd start going off on me for days about how the two of us should be together. I was almost out of her door when she grabbed on to my wrist and pulled me back. "I wanted you to come over for a reason Effrin."
I sighed and folded my arms. "I don't want to hear about ya little feelings Kay."
"I know. I just wanted to get some dick before you left me for another six months."
I scratched the back of my head. "I don't know Kay."
She grinned and looked down at her body. "You don't know? How could you deny all of this," she asked, twirling around, so I could see her body.
I knew she wanted me over here for a reason and it wasn't to spend time with Te. I knew she wanted sex and it furthered my point when she opened up the door barely clothed. "Te is in he back."
She shrugged her shoulders. "I promise not to scream," she said, kissing on my neck.
Shit, these broads all knew how to get me in bed. I bit my lip and took her back to her bedroom.
