Mason breaths deeply. After filling both her canteen and one of the empty food tins full of water, she had decided to wash up a bit. Feeling clean again and refreshed, a new wave of determination flows through her. She can do this.

Mason picks up her machete and tucks it in her belt once more. Swinging her camera around her neck, she prepares to keep walking when a new sound reaches her. She freezes.

Is it a monster?

She quickly pulls her machete out again and grasps it tightly. The noise is coming from farther away than Mason thought. Based on the echoes she guesses that whatever it is has to be in the flying-reptile monster corridor. Mason turns and dismisses the noise--it is too far away to be a danger to her. At least that's what she thought at first, until her brain makes sense of what she's hearing. Her blood runs cold.

Humans.

Those are human voices.

Mason shakes her head. I must've lost it, it can't be... But the voices are unmistakable. Mason begins shaking and starts to grin until a new idea came to her--what if it's the Russians? Her smile leaves as quickly as it came. Did she dare go back to find out? Mason takes a step back. Now having water she can make it on her own. If it's the Russians then she should leave them to the demons residing here. If it's help...

Then a woman screams.

Mason's eyes widen. There was no woman among the Russians who attacked her and Hu before. That means...

Mason takes off running, she doesn't care if she stumbles. She keeps her machete in one hand and feels the cuts in her arm with her other hand to find her way back. It has to be help. But if they're in trouble then they're all in trouble. I have to get back to them!

I only hope I make it in time...
