Ashtons POV
I grabbed the packet that was hanging on the back of the cabin door. Pulling out the white papers I place them in front of me. Calum, Michael and Carter had gone back into our part of the cabin claiming that they were up to no good. Calum seemed pretty hot under the collar and kind of reminded me of a rabbit caught in headlights. I could see the end. It involved a squished bunny. Luke and Alex were next to me seemingly getting on like a house on fire almost like they have been hanging out before.
Pia was sat next to me leaving an uncomfortable feeling in my gut. I had the strange feeling she was up to something as her eyes were unable to leave them and even give a brief glance at the paper. "Do you want to speak them, its kind of hard to see them from here" Alex asked ignoring the look Pia was giving. She was obviously being blocked by Luke the giant so I picked them up. "What do you want first, the activity or these boring rules" I questioned. "The activity, might as well plan how many coats we might actually need to bring with us for just day one" Luke joked back. The outside was back to lashing it down and after saying I'd only need an anorak, I had began to wish I had to list to my mother and taken an actual rain coat.
"Day one. A simple walk to New lake, in which we will be collecting samples from to use for testing and recording data" I read. "Sounds thrilling" Alex said sarcastically. "Are we actually going to spend a day walking and collecting samples. I swear the letter make it sound much more entertaining" Pia questioned, looking at the paper. "From the looks of it" I went staring at the paper. There was nothing more boring sounding nor to mention we could have literally down that back at school. There was literally no reason for us to walk to a lake in the middle of Scotland.
"What are the rule's" Luke asked. Mentally I prepared myself for probably the most boring part of the trip. "Rule one" I began, "seven thirty am is the set start time. You will be expected at the lunch hall by no later than quarter to eight". Refraining from groaning it mentally calculator the fact that none of us were going to thrill with having to get up early on an away trip. Why couldn't the school have cool trips such as ones to New York or some other amazing country.
"Rule two, Lights out at the latest of 10.30pm. My self and the counsellors will be checking each cabin to ensure this is done. This also goes to sneaking out etc which if you decide to do punishment will include extra chores for your cabin not just yourself". "My god like any of us are going to sneak out. Does she still think we are in year six" Pia exclaimed. None of us responded. Rude I know but that sneaky feeling in my gut wasn't backing down.
"Rule three. No mixing with the other half of your dorm, eg sleeping the same beds. You are expected to behave like young adults. If you don't, there is plenty spare with the counsellors". Scrunching my nose in distaste there was no way I'd be sleeping with anyone in here. The bed barely fitted me, let alone anyone else who felt like joining me.
"Rule four, no technology. If you haven't handed yours in yet then I suggest you do so. Rule five, No food in dorms. I can assure that you will be provided with plenty of food here and that should you have any it would be in your best interest to hand it in. Cabin checks will be done regularly and should any rules be being broken then a suitable disciplinary action will occur" I finished.
I had already handed in my phone and my suitcase barely had any room for food after packing it with enough clothes. Some that I was sure to have to wash in the shower if the rest of the week was anything like to day. "Well those aren't exactly a problem. If we break the rules we go down together so as long as no one cares I'm happy for you to break the rules" Alex went. I had already seen a flash of technology hidden in her coat pocket. I sincerely hoped she was going to hide whatever it was in a better place. "I agree, anyone who feels the need not to can just be excluded. I'm sure everyone in here will break at least one of these with or without being caught" Luke added.
"I agree and I'm sure that the others will be chill with it" I spoke for good measure. "Whatever" Pia went heading off to her bed. Probably to do her nails. Speaking of others, Michael, Calum and Carter decided to join us. "What did we miss" Carter asked with a grin. Whatever they were planning I hoped only the three of them go down. I don't think Daleys going to exactly be an easy one to prank. She hasn't been phased by anything that has come her way so far and I highly doubt a silly little prank will be enough to cause a reaction.
"We were just reading through the rules and agreeing that if any of break them we just accept it and go down together" Alex went giving Carter a meaningful look. "I saw Daleys list of punishments, they just involve cleaning. As long as we don't end up drawing cleaning the toilets then I think we will be fine" She went with a shrug. Praying my face didn't show the horror I was feeling, I secretly crossed my fingers that I wouldn't have to do any cleaning. It was seeming like hell as it was. Cleaning would literally make it like the titanic and the iceberg.
A/N Filler chapter that I will edit hopefully. Can I get one vote on this ? If I do I'll dedicate the next chapter to you or something similar.
