THE FOOT of my bed dipped and I kicked the person who caused it.
"Callus!" I yelped as he started tickling my bare feet. He stumbled out of my bed but still caught his balance on one leg. I threw a pillow directed at his face to which he dodged and it dropped right on the steps of the stairs behind him.
"Get up, queerhead!" He snickered, jumping back onto my bed, unfazed with my incessant yelling for mercy. He grabbed both of my legs and pulled me towards him, causing my shirt to ride up. I yelled and smack off his hands that had managed to jab into my sides.
"Dude, hands off!" I pulled my shirt back down and with all my strength, pushed him off as well. He cackled and stood by the foot of my bed, folding his arms in front of him.
"Wow, getting all protective now? What did Winter do to you?" He said teasingly.
I threw a second pillow at his face and he smacked it off before it hit him. "She didn't do anything, you buttcrack," I scoffed. "I've always been protective over my body."
Callus rolled his eyes with a flick of his wrist. Fortunately, he let my comment slide. "Whatever. Anyways, I made us breakfast," he said, moving to pick up the pillows I had thrown.
I rolled out of my bed just as he threw the pillows back. "Are they burnt?" I asked nonchalantly.
"Hey! I'm not that bad of a cook," he snapped as he climbed up the stairs. I followed.
"Tell that to the food you've made for the past two years," I mumbled under my breath as I pushed my hair out of my face. Closing the door that led down to the basement, I entered the kitchen with him.
"Give me a break," he quipped back, attending to the bowl and saucer he had placed on the counter. He already had two plates set on the counter that we assigned as our dining table. We had a pretty small home.
Sliding down to my stool on the left, I watched him fill the bowl with scrambled eggs from the frying pan. He stuck the pan in the sink beside our stove and retrieved the tupperware full of bacon from the microwave. He dumped them on the saucer and threw the container in the sink as well.
"You could have just split them onto our plates. You're just adding more dishes to wash," I remarked as he sat down on his stool and took his share of the food carefully. He always made sure we had the same serving.
"Oh, shush. I like having them separated," he responded as he stabbed pieces of bacon and pushed them on top of his scrambled eggs. "Besides, it's your turn to wash 'em today," he giggled.
"Well, damn," I huffed, knowing full well that he used me in his own, wicked way.

Pulling up on the right of the road, I made sure I was past the fire hydrant. I surely did not need a parking ticket, especially under Callus' name. He would kick my ass to Pluto. Turning the engine off, I checked the time.
Another minute...
Just as the clock hits two in the afternoon, I got out of the car and jogged up to the door. Before I could even hold the handle, the door swung open, revealing a little boy.
"Kevin!" I exclaimed. He jumped up to me with a huge smile plastered on his face. Ruffling his hair, I stepped into the house. "How's my little boy?"
