Only Just Getting Started (Adopted by Shisa)

Chapter 8

I’m woken at about 9:30 by Corny licking my face. I sit up and pat her for a while. Joel is still sleeping when Lisa walks out.

“How do boys do it? They just sleep”

“Is Shane still asleep as well?”

“It’s not 10:00 yet of course he is”

“Oh well I know how to wake both of them up”

“How?”

I smile and pick Corny up and put her right next to Joel’s face. She immediately starts licking and he wakes up. Lisa can’t stop laughing and she agrees that we have to do it to Shane. Before we go in I grab my new camera. I quickly do a little bit of vlogging to explain what is going on then we go into Shane and Lisa’s room. Lisa carries Corny while I film. She creeps up and puts Corny on the bed. Corny goes crazy and attacks Shane. He lifts up the eye mask and sits up. Me, Joel and Lisa are all laughing a lot and Lisa tells Shane that it was all my idea. He looks over at me and sees the camera. He gets out of bed and starts moving towards me so I run out towards the lounge room. I can hear Shane behind me so I keep going. I run over near the table and put my camera down then move to the couch. Shane pushes me onto the couch and starts tickling me. I laugh so hard that I can’t breath and when Shane finally stops I see that Lisa has picked up my camera to film the commotion going on.

“Why would you wake me like that?”

“Because its funny”

“Wrong answer!”

He starts tickling me again and I can’t wriggle free. I have tears streaming from my eyes. 

“So, are you ever going to put Corny in my face to wake me up again?”

“Technically Lisa put Corny in your face I just filmed it”

“You told her to do it though”

“She still did it”

“This is very true”

Shane turns towards Lisa and she hands the camera to Joel. She goes to run off but Shane gets one arm around her waist and pulls her back towards him. They’re both laughing while I’m trying to regain my breath from when Shane tickled me. Lisa tries to break free but Shane just holds her close to him. After a little while he lets go and Lisa collapses next to me on the couch. Shane follows. Joel walks over with the camera.

“Look at this tired family. All it takes is a small amount of activity to make them all collapse on the couch, no wonder they adopted Charlie she always was lazy”

“Hey! That’s not nice”

“It’s also true”

I give him a dirty look and he stops recording. 

I continue to vlog throughout the day and after we drop Joel home Shane helps me edit the video. While it’s exporting, both him and Lisa help me set up my channel. I leave the video to upload while I have a shower. By the time I go back to my laptop it’s about half way done. It finally finishes uploading and I share it on social media, Shane and Lisa also share it. I get a few subscribers pretty much straight away, I know most of them have come from Shane and Lisa but if they actually watch my videos and care about me then I’ll appreciate them. I’ve decided that I’m going to try and vlog pretty much everyday until school starts.
