Lauren's POV
I sit along a ledge at the beach, casually smoking a cigarette and writing in my book.
Why then, O' brawling love
O' loving hate
O' anything of nothing, first create
Heavy lightness, serious vanity
Misshapen chaosI get down and start walking along the sand, stopping at a nearby play area. I see a figure in the corner of my eye and look up to be greeted by my cousin and one of my best friends, Zayn.
"Good morrow cousin" He smirks
"Is the day so young?" I mumble while taking another pull from the cigarette
"But new struck cuz" He says
"Ay me! Sad hours seem long" I say
I look behind him and see the black car pulling off.
"Was that my father that went hence so fast?" I ask while standing up
"It was. What sadness lengthens Lauren's hours?" He asks as we start walking
"Not having that, which having, makes them short" I say
"In love?" He asks enthusiastically
"Out" I say
"Of love?" He asks confusingly
"Out of her favor where I am in love!" I say
"Alas, that love, so gentle in her view should be so tyrannous and rough in proof!" He says
"Alas, that love, who's view is muffled still, should without eyes, see pathways to her will!" I smirk
I stop at a TV and here lies footage of yet another unnecessary civil brawl.
"O me! What fray was here?" I sigh while turning to him
He opens his mouth but I cut him off and roll my eyes.
"Yet tell me not, for I have heard it all. Here's much to do with hate but more with love." I say lowly
"Why, then, O brawling love! O loving hate!
O anything of nothing first create! O heavy lightness! Serious vanity! Misshapen chaos of well seeming forms! Feather of lead-"He lightly chuckles and I stare at him, my face slowly dropping.
"Dost thou not laugh?" I ask quietly
"No cuz, I rather weep" He says
"Good heart at what?" I ask while walking across the street ahead of him
"At thy good heart's oppression" He says while catching up to me
"Farewell my cuz" I say
"Soft! I will go along; an if you leave me so, you do me wrong" He says
Nobody's POV
"But Jauregui is bound as well as I in penalty alike; and 'tis not hard I think, for men as old as we to keep peace" Sir Hamilton mummers
"Of honorable reckoning are you both; and pity 'tis you lived at odds so long. But now sir, what say you to my suit?" Austin asks
Sir Hamilton sighs and internally rolls his eyes.
"But saying o'er what I said before, my child is yet a stranger in the world; she hath not seen the change of twenty one years, let one more summer wither in its pride, ere we may think her ripe to be a bride." He says
"Younger than she, are happy mothers made" Austin smiles
Sir Hamilton eyes him down with a smug look.
"And too soon marr'd are those early made" He says
Lauren's POV
"In sadness cousin, I do love a woman" I say while hitting the pool ball
"I aim'd so near when I supposed you loved" He smiles
"She'll not be hit with Cupid's arrow; she hath Dian's wit; and in strong proof of chastity well arm'd. From love's weak childish now she lives unharm'd." I say
"Then she hath sworn that she will still live Chaste?" He asks amusingly
"She hath and in that sparing make huge waste, she is too fair, too wise, wisely too fair. To merit bliss by making me despair, she hath forsworn to love and in that vow do I live dead that live to tell it now" I say
"Be ruled by me, forget to think her" He suggests
"O teach me how I should forget to think" I sigh
An announcement blares through that the Hamilton's are having a supper and everybody is invited. Zayn throws his arm over my shoulder and listens with me.
"At this same ancient feast of Hamilton's sups the fair Victoria whom thou so lovest, with all the admired beauties of Verona" He says
Victoria, my love dost not know of me. We leave out the small restaurant and walk down the street.
"Go thither and with unattained eye, compare her face with some that I shall show and I will make thee think thy swan a crow" He smirks
"I'll go along, no such sight to be shown but to rejoice in splendor of mine own"
