CHAPTER 4

I got to the hospital,A nurse was inside the room trying to hang a new drip connecting it to my mum's arm,I feel a bit light hearted seeing my mum awake.

I walk towards her, "good afternoon mum" I greeted, she nods with a smile plastered on her face,she extended her right hand to me signaling I should sit close to her.

How are you feeling today mum?

I asked, "I wasn't feeling fine in the morning because you were not here but now that you are here I feel strong and happy" I giggled and felt happy a little, I removed my gaze from my mum to the nurse.

Nurse please have she eaten? "no but I'm going to bring her meal now" no need I already brought her lunch I said offering a small smirk.

OK,if you need anything,I'm around she smiled and went out.

I turned my gaze back to my mum,I prepared boiled potatoes with fish tomato sauce for you,I said bringing the table closer, no child I'm not eating,I don't feel Like eating now.

No mum,you will have to eat,did you see your self,you are now skinny,pale and I don't want to say the last,please mum please I pleaded,she giggle lightly, OK.

I heave her up until she's resting against the pillow that is placed beside the wall,when she is comfortable, she return her gaze to me and smile,I smile back unpacking the lunch bag,I grab a plate and dish out the meal in it,she extended her arm to collect the plate but I didn't allow her.

"No mum,i will feed you",I grabbed the spoon and fetch a spoon taking it to my mum's mouth, she opened her mouth slowly to take in the food.

Well,I'm making progress in feeding her,after giving her the   fourth spoon of the meal,she asked me for a bowl,I quickly gave her and she vomited all what she ate,I grabbed a bottle of water and help her rinse her mouth.

Mum,are you okay, I asked worriedly,she nodded  but was fighting for air,I wasn't okay with the way she was struggling to breath so I went to get the doctor.

He instantly head to the room, at that moment my phone rang,I checked the caller,it was my biology teacher...........good evening ma I greeted,"evening dear,I'm at the hospital reception", oh OK ,I'm coming.

Miss Mia sat on a sit at the reception, i walk towards her feeling humble to see her.

You are welcome ma,I said offering a warm smile, thanks dear,we both walked to the room my mum was in.
My mom is now lying down but not asleep, "mum you have a visitor"I muttered, Miss Mia walked in front of my mum.

Good evening ma,she greeted my mum, my phone rang again,it's alin .
Hey alin!hey anina,we are at the front of the hospital,OK I'm Coming, I headed out and lead them in. How is your mum's health now Samar asked as we walked towards the room,well can't say.

Guess who came to visit my mum, I said grinning at them.
Our principal kalita guessed,
"No, Miss Mia,our biology teacher ? laila stated surprisingly.

We entered the room and guess my mum is having a good time with Miss  Mia,laughing in between talks.
It was nice meeting you Mrs Latina, I hope you get well and healthy soon Miss Mia said, thank you so much for visiting,I really appreciate it,she offered my mum a warm smile and turn to leave,her gaze locked with ours.

Good evening ma,they greeted,evening she reply with a smile,
Anina I'm going now,give me some minutes of your time,I nodded and we headed out .

It's already morning, the sunrise is a display of radiant colour ,I never have being more happier, I closed my eyes as I breath in the soft air cooling everywhere,the soft  rays of light illuminate the entire street, a thought of yesterday's evening resumed in my head.

I'm so grateful to my teacher that contributed on my mum's hospital bill by giving the sum of five thousand and my friends gave me twenty thousand, I added all the money up and it was forty five thousand.
I was glad for raising forty five thousand and also frustrated because I have no idea where to get the remaining five thousand.

I sat down on the staircase inside the hospital crying my frustration out,within a minute I figured out where to get the remaining money, sort of lending the money, I surged to my neighborhood to meet my neighbor that brought my mum to the hospital.
I don't know her name,its really bad not to know my neighbor's name,guess it's because we are not that close with her.

I went to her and narrated the balance issue to her and told her to lend me the five thousand I will return it by next week, I was speechless when she gave seven thousand ,not lending,I was stunned, I tried to convince her I will return the money when I have it but she didn't agree.
Make sure you buy fruits and vegetables for her with the two thousand,OK ma thanks so much I replied

This past few days wasn't easy for me and my mum,but I'm glad everything is back to normal.

my mum was operated on yesterday evening, so she will be discharge today in the afternoon.
