A/N: You play the song while you read to set the mood for how the character is feeling
-------------------------------------------------

My dad has always gave me what I asked for which wasn't much,  he also taught me things as well, like to be tough when things happen or if I hurt myself. My dad taught me how to be strong but sensitive , brave but understanding , and to never get my back against the ropes but when they were to never get comfortable but to stay honest. So when my dad got home, I explained what and how it happened, he was kind of upset because he didn't want me to have any scars but he thought it was funny because he always tried to protect me but he said he didn't think he would ever have to protect me from myself and that he didn't know how to, he told me that it as my job to protect myself from myself. I thought about that for a second and asked him for advice and started laughing, saying "that's something your going to have to figure out because I sure in the hell know, but what I do want you to know that with whatever decision in life you make,  just remember that a hard head makes a soft ass." all I could say was ok because I didn't have a clue what that meant and was to tired to ask. A year went by, Christmas and my birthday went by, and its now January. The year went by pretty slow, I remember my friend and me decided to go play in my back yard one April day which was like a mile long and it turned into the forest. Well we decided to go and explore it,  we went over tree bridges which had been over rivers and we could had fell but didn't thank God. we continued deeper and deeper into the forest until we bursted through a big opening with clean cut, beautiful  dark green grass that seemed like it could had gone on for a while. All of a sudden we take off running towards this bench with like a canopy over it, so we get there and my friend has their head down, I get a sick feeling in my stomach like something bad is about to happen, like when you do something your not supposed to nd you get a feeling like your about to vomit so you stop? well that's how I felt,  anyway,  I looked up to tell my friend go let's go home when BOOM!!!  there's a whole bunch of weird people or men in auburn colored cloaks with hoods over their heads. I got scared and grabbed my friend by the hand and took off like a bat out of hell!, my friend didn't know what was going on but I told them I will explain when it is safe . Now I was always a little big as a child and clumsy, but at that moment none of that had an effect on me, I was dodging trees, jumping over things like I was in the Olympics. 20 minutes we broke through into a street, I was totally confused until I saw my house on the right side of the street, I didn't know how but God must have directed me in the quickest right because we were safe. I explained go my friend what I saw and they said that it sounded like I saw a colt and said thank you for getting us out of there, I said your welcome, they asked did I want to go ride bikes but I told (I remember his name was bo? I think but I do know that it was a boy ) him that i was tired and just wanted to go lay down, he was cool with that and turned to leave but he faced me and kissed me real quick on the lips, then left home. I shocked and i stood there for a couple of long seconds trying to figure out the feelings i was feeling,  but decided to not panic or freak out, so I acted like nothing happened. Later that day I was at the dinning room table doing math which even at 8 years old I didn't like doing it,  but just the idea of math I liked, so my dad walked through the living room on the phone, and I was curious on who he was talking to, so I sat there focusing my attention to the halfway closed bathroom door. Now I heard a few things;  like really?,  what happened to him?, and I can't believe it.  Then my mind started to go to work thinking what could make my dad asks those questions and I thought OK someone got hurt or died, then I'm thinking about who he was talking to which I had no idea,  then I see Tammy coming up the the stairs from the basement  and I asked her and she said he was talking to my auntie and after I thought about that, I figured out what happened.
