Heeelllllloooooooooooooooooooo!

Here is Chapter 1. Now I must admit, it isn't all that, but that's just because it's more of an introductory chapter- just setting the scene and making sure you've got the lowdown...

Hopefully you guys will enjoy this X

"So what do you want me to do with her?" Isabelle demanded.

"Let her go," Jace said quietly. Isabelle shot him a surprised, almost angry look, but didn't argue. The whip slithered away, freeing Clary's arm. She rubbed her sore wrist and wondered how the hell she was going to get out of there.

"Maybe we should bring her back with us," Alec said. "I bet Hodge would like to talk to her."

"No way are we bringing her to the Institute," said Isabelle. "She's a mundie."

"Or is she?" said Jace softly. His quiet tone was worse than Isabelle's snapping or Alec's anger. "Have you had dealings with demons, little girl? Walked with warlocks, talked with the Night Children? Have you-"

"My name is not 'little girl,' " Clary interrupted. "And I have no idea what you're talking about." Don't you? Said a voice in the back of her head. You saw that boy vanish into thin air. Jace isn't crazy -you just wish he was. "I don't believe in-in demons, or whatever you-"

Sighing, I closed the book shut and let it rest on my lap.

I was reading City Of Bones again since I didn't really stock up on many new books for the holidays, and the few I did buy were currently buried in my suitcase.

Plus, it's a very good series, how could you not read them again?

"Are we there yet?"

I asked my mother, watching the fat raindrops roll down the window. The weather was always miserable in England, especially in the north.

"Not yet Alice Turner, you can wait half an hour, can't you?" Mum sounded annoyed and slightly exhausted.

There are two reasons I know this.

Firstly, she said my full name; something she only does when someone is testing her patience, in this case, me.

Secondly, she used a question at the end of what she said, which I know is not meant to be answered due to the aforementioned.

My head dropped in dissappointment, and my eyes met a rune-clad Jace. Not wanting to stare at the book cover any longer, I turned back to the window instead.

Don't get me wrong, I adore The Mortal Instruments but reading in a car is just not for me, and although the front cover of City Of Bones is quite attractive, the world outside the car is much better at getting rid of the churning in my stomach.

But when you've been stuck in a car for hours on end (half of which was in endless traffic), you get a little fed up of hearing the endless patter of rain drumming against your ear.

I just wanted to know when we were going to reach the service station. I was sick of staying in the car (literally, I feel really weird) and my stomach has been groaning for food as soon as I plopped down on the seat.

Now that I think of it, it's a relief I didn't eat anything or else it would've been all over the interior of the car right now.

Boredom doesn't help either.
