Shotty (yes, Rachel, this is their literal name) watched in pain as Alexander spent the night with their sister, Shoot (aka Eliza :3). They sat through it all, feeling completely idiotic for introducing him to Shoot.
They had three reasons as to why they gave him up:
1) Shotty was a shot living in a world where they had to marry rich, but Alexander was penniless, which wasn't good for them (but that didn't mean thy wanted him any less).
2) Being the oldest of the Schuyler Sisters, Shotty knew that her family name would only elevate his status. They'd have to be naive to ignore that (maybe that's why they introduced him to Shoot).
3) Shotty loved Alexander, but by the time they reflected on this, it was too late. Her mind came back here on the day of Shoot and Alexander's wedding. Shotty adored their sister, and proclaiming their love would almost guarantee that Shotty would have Alexander, but they couldn't do such a thing, especially not to Shoot.
But every night thereafter, Shotty fantasized, the eyes of her fantasies belonging to Alexander.
Shotty's mind went back into reality, remembering that, while she thought about her lost love, she was giving a toast at that lost love's wedding with their sister.
Rewind
"You're like me, I've never been satisfied." Alexander spoke in a calm manner, enchanting Shotty with his tone. His eyes were intelligent.
Shotty had never matched wits with anyone as she had with Alexander. She never forgot about him after that, and she never would, seeing as his eyes would stay in her life as long as he was with their dear Shoot.
