Johnny's POV:
I woke up to Steve slamming the fridge looking for the chocolate cake. "WHERE'S THE CHOCOLATE CAKE!" He screamed. Darry came down saying, "I haven't had time to make anymore, and shut your trap your gonna wake up Johnny and Kim. I could hear you all the way from upstairs." "Why haven't you had anytime to make any? You always make one every Monday." Steve said. "Yea well, with this whole Kim and the Socs thing and work being so backed up I REALLY haven't found the time to fulfill your chocolate cake needs." Darry snapped at him. "Too late I'm already up," I said. Kim walked down the stairs a little after and she looked like a reck. No offense. "Baby girl you ok?" I asked. "I was fine sleeping until SOMEBODY started screaming about NOT HAVING HIS CHOCOLATE CAKE." She yelled. "Sorry Kim, I need my daily dose of chocolate cake." Steve said.
"If you don't yell anymore and let me sleep then later on I'll make you a chocolate cake." She said. "That sounds real good." Steve said putting Kim in a head lock. "Stooooppp Steve it's too early," Kim groaned. "Come here give her to me," I said laughing faintly, opening my arms. "Take her," Steve said laughing picking her up then putting her on my lap. She looked so tired, one thing everyone that has ever known Kim, knows that she is NOT a morning person. She laid down, her legs on my lap and the rest of her stretched out on the rest of the couch. I rubbed her knee slowly and she fell asleep. She fell asleep real quick. I told you she wasn't a morning person.
Kim's POV:
Steve was yelling about his stupid chocolate cake. I swear one day I'm going to smash a whole cake in his face. I went downstairs and I just remember saying something then crashed on the couch. Was Johnny there? I don't even remember.
I woke up to Johnny crying. I quickly got up and leaned over and hugged him saying, "what's wrong Johnny?" In a concerned tone. "Oh nothin, just read a good part in Gone With The Wind," he said whipping the tear from his eye laughing. "You gonna get crackin on that chocolate cake you promised Steve?" He asked. "What?" "The chocolate cake you said you would make for Steve if he stopped yelling and let you sleep." "UUUGGHH I KNEW I WAS FORGETTING SOMETHING!" I said slamming and burring my head into the couch. "Kim, come here," Johnny said as he pulled me up and kissed my forehead, pushing my hair out of my face. "You are always making stuff. So how hard could it be to whip up a cake?" Johnny asked as he shrugged and I shot him a look. "DO NOT GO THERE JOHNATHAN ANDREW CADE! WHEN IT COMES TO STEVE IT HAS TO BE PERFECT OR ELSE IT'S "NOT EDIBLE"" I said raising my voice louder and louder till my throat hurt. "OOOOOOOOHHHH", Two-Bit and Pony said in unison looking up at me and Johnny. "She played the full name card. Your gonna GET IT NOW!" Pony said laughing. "It's funny how this time it's not me." He said.
"Baby girl I'm sorry," he said then I cut off the rest of his sentence saying, "you can't just say ~baby girl~ and think that everything is going to be ok-----" Then I was cut off, he took my head in between his hands and kissed me. "Ok well... maybe THAT could fix MOST problems." I said "Now go, you got a chocolate cake to make," he said laughing. "FINE," I complained. I ran upstairs and threw on some jeans and a t-shirt and brushed my hair out but left it down, then went downstairs.
Dal walked in the door sayin, "I may or may not 've got caught by the fuzz and they're lookin for me." "Go upstairs and go in Pony's closet cause they should be on your trail soon. You'll tell us what you did later now GO!" I said to Dal. "Thanks Kim," he said as he kissed my cheek right before bolting up the stairs. I got the eggs, flour, vegetable oil, sugar, cocoa powder, butter and a measuring cup filled with water. I got a big bowl out and started to pour the flour and sugar together. When the fuzz started bangin on our door sayin, "open up, this is the police." "Pony open the door," I said to Pony. "Yes officers how can I help you," Pony said in a fake voice. "Any of you guys ever hear of a Dallas Winston?" "Yea. Do you happen to know where he went? We haven't seen him all morning?" I said to try to confuse the police. We do this all the time, but it's usually Darry that does the talking. Lucky for me, I picked up a few things.
