I had just moved in to my new house, well me and my roommate Lonnie did. We both settled into LA and everything was great, until I realized how annoying the neighbors were, I growled a bit as they were playing in the back yard, whenever I thought they calmed down they would just start back up again.
"Lonnie!!!! We have the loudest neighbors ever" I complained as I sat down with my carrots.
"You picked this house not my fault" he teased me before kissing the top of my head and wrapping an arm around me.
Nothing to bad happened so I left them alone about being loud. That is until a Nerf arrow came busting threw the back door.
"What the fuck!?" Came from both me and Lonnie.
I heard scolding from outside and then it went quiet, when I check out the broken door careful not to step in glass I saw they were gone. I mumbled under my breath about them being fucking cowards until the door belling rang figuring it was them I grabbed the Nerf arrow and stormed passed Lonnie pushing his chest lightly so he was sat back down.
"I swear to fucking god I'll shove this right up your.... Your..." My confidence level dropped as I saw a tall curly hair man in front of me, he could of probably snapped my neck, and he had two smaller guys beside him and another two in the back.
I swallowed and coughed a bit "yes?" I asked.
"Uh did a foam arrow happen to come... I don't know bursting into your living room or something?" The red read said with a slight blush on his face.
I brought up the arrow that was held in between my fingers.
"This?" I asked raising am eyebrow.
The blue haired boy who seemed the youngest out of them all took it from me sheepishly I looked at him.
"S-sorry about that" a bigger guy in the back said a guilty look on his face.
"You broke our door" I said flatly.
"Yeah... W-we'll play for it" the red head said again, I rolled my eyes and Lonnie came up behind me.
"No need, y/n hated having glass doors anyway" he said trying to make light of the situations.
"I didn't hate having doors though" I said with a slight laugh.
The boys in front of me seemed to relax a bit.
"Me and Lonnie needed to go to Home Depot anyway so" I shrugged "you don't have to, its fine" I said.
I looked up at the taller curly hair male he was looking down at me, I thought I caught him checking me out, I smirked at him a bit making him blush, only kinda confirming that he probably was. I looked back at the red head.
"So I know this is a bad way to meet neighbors but I'm Mark, that's Tyler and Ethan, Bob and Wade" Mark said pointing out his friends.
"I'm y/n this is Lonnie" I said "just be more careful" I said.
"Okay, after you sure you don't want us to pay for it?" He asked.
"Won't hear of it, always awkward taking money from strangers" I said "go do... Whatever you were doing" I said.
"Okay thank you, nice meeting you" Mark said they walked away back toward their house, Tyler lingered a but longer like he wanted to say something by went to catch up with him friends.
"Let's go buy a door Lon" I said leading him out to the car.
We got back a few hours later Lonnie helped me put the new doors in and I went out to work on my truck. I heard someone walk up behind me I thought I was Lonnie so I just kept my head looking down.
"Eh Lon, I'll be in after I change the oil" I said.
"Uh not Lonnie" a slightly huskier voice then Lonnie came from behind me, I lifted my head up smacking it on the hood of the car.
"Fuck" I cursed rubbing the spot it hit and turning around looking at what turned out to he Tyler. "Oh you.." I said putting my hand down from my now hurting head.
"You don't sound very excited, didn't mean to make you do that" Tyler said.
"No... Was bound to happen at some point" I said "need something?" I asked turning back to my car and changing the oil like a planed on doing.
"I feel bad for Bob busting your door out so I came to see if maybe you needed help putting it on?" He asked.
"You're about three hours to late" I said.
"Oh..." Tyler said.
"Did you come here just so you could talk to me?" I teased him shutting the hood.
I looked back to see Tyler blushing and I raised my eyebrow.
"Well um... Yeah?" He said in a bit of a questioning tone.
I nodded and paused for a bit looking up at him. A couple minutes went by before I spoke up.
"So when are you going to ask me out?' I said putting on an innocent smile.
I loved watching him get flustered and blushy.
"I... Well... Um" he looked toward his place.
"Pick me up at 9 tomorrow" I said "wear something casual but not to casual, like jeans and a button up" I said patting his chest as I started toward my front door.
"I... Okay" he said.
"I hope your more talkative on our date" I teased him "have a good night Tyler'" I said.
"You too... Y/n" Tyler said and I smiled walking into my house.
